Have you rode the Moe Mini or the Moe? What's your thoughts on them if you tried either?

I have a 6’6” Mini Moe and it’s such a great board. I’m UK based, so our waves are pretty weak. But it grovels so well, and when it gets bigger and more powerful, the board, just changes into a super charged, super responsive board. It covers so many conditions, but mostly importantly it’s so much fun to surf. I’m 53, so also like the stability when taking off….it’s my favourite board of all time!

Its a solid board for sure, glad to hear the board does so well even across the globe in UK conditions. (Hawaii based here). Stokedd, continue to have fun out there 🤙

I have the same board. Harley recommends and designed it for large fins in the mini moe and extra larges in the regular now.

I would love to try his fins, but they're expensive lol. Seeing if I can find them at a good price on used websites.

I’ve got the 7’2 moe and it’s a fantastic board. Paddes great, catches waves easily, can still duck dive it easily (being 6’5 and 100kg might make that easier though) and is manoeuvrable and loose. Always have fun on it. Would be interested to try a 6’10 mini moe to see the difference.

Great glad you love yours so much, if ur looking for a bit of the extra maneuverability I'd say go for it 👍 would you consider the 6'6?

@ 6’6 would be getting a bit small for me

Thanks for the review. I have been considering buying the Moe Mini 6'6". I have the Moe Mini 6'10". It has been my go to board since I bought it. I have used in head high to knee high waves. I weight 185 lb.(84 Kg), 61 years old and I'm an intermediate surfer. I have even been able to pull off an off the lip the other day with it. I'm considering the 6'6" for bigger days when it becomes tiring to duck dive through the white water, even thought I can duck dive the 6'10.

Glad to hear you've had similar experiences and that's straight inspiration to be surfing at 61🤙 Have you tried the mid 6 at all? I've heard that board is supposedly better for the bigger waves too.

Great review! I have the Mid 6 7.0 and it is the best board i ever had. May be the mini Moe gonna be my next board for groveller

Awesome! yeah the mid 6 is definitely on the list to try.... think the moe mini will be go hand in hand with the mid 6.

Nice Review! How do you compare the mini moe vs the Outlier X overall? I actually have the Outlier X 6'9 that I really enjoy on chest and up waves, not so much below that for everything below I have my Outlier Plus 7'0 that it really is a funboard but struggle a bit when there are a lot of longboarders outside... i'm maybe thinking of trading it for a CJ Slasher Low Pro 9'3...

I would say the Moe Mini covers the lower end of the wave spectrum better, but wouldn't consider it a full on groveler. The Moe mini has more flex makes it more fun in smaller waves, while the Outlier X is stiffer, but I consider that a good thing when the wave is has enough energy to cause the board to flex. Its funny I thought they would be too overlapped since they're similar in dimensions and shapes, but they fit in the quiver with minimal overlaps, and have entirely different feels based on their flex. (Moe mini for 2-4/5ft waves) (Outlier X in 3/4ft and above) If you've been using the Outlier X as a single/two + 1, you should try it as a thruster and twin + trailer, I think it'd be more enjoyable in the lower and upper wave ranges too. Slasher low pro looks like a sick board too. Lmk if you decide to pull the trigger and what u think about it 🤙I am currently eyeing out a parallax (plus) , but need to save up some/sell some boards before then haha

🔥review Thanks. Did you have the chance to ride a mid6 7’0 or mini? Also wondering how you would compare paddling in the wave between moe mini and seaside and beyond ?
@Namidan-The-Surf-and-Sea19 күн бұрын
Thanks man! Never tried the mid 6 yet. Would be interested in trying the smallest size and maybe in thunderbolt black since it'd be my first time trying that tech. The mid 6 twin also looks sick and looks amazing in that blue. For paddling the best is SS&B in LFT > Moe Mini > SS&B in Thunderbolt Red
@flomff403719 күн бұрын
Thanks 🤙 I only tried Thunderbolt Black on longboards and prefered Red in everyday conditions. Black was also very nice but a bit stiffer and less spring on average waves.

I’ve got a 7’2 moe and a 7’0 seaside and beyond. There’s not a huge difference in paddling between them but the moe does catch waves easier. Id love to try the 6’10 moe mini to see how that is in comparison
