Nice video. I’ve owned the 7’2” 47 liter board for about a year. Cons: doesn’t paddle well (maybe because the crazy deep V bottom), wobbles a bit left and right when popping up ( maybe the upward rails), slow down the line. Pros: turns easily (because of the crazy V bottom :) ), indestructible (feels like layers and layers of epoxy under your feet- very solid), moderately easy to duck dive, easy on the eyes. Thanks! 🤙🏽

Nice review. I’ve owned 2 Torq boards. 1. Mod fun 7 6 & 52L. Agree with comments except never found it hard to paddle. Board great in slop to over head. Yes it’s a slower speed on a wave but I didn’t find that a draw back staying in the sweet spot on a wave. 2. The Fish 7 2 51L very different. Easy to paddle and quick on take off. Excellent speed on the wave and good in slop up to overhead. Both boards tough to duck dive but doable up to a certain wave height. These boards are super stable and great for beginners up. Well priced for what you get & durable. Kind regards Phil from Oz.

Super helpful! I recently bought an “old” 2006/2007 CI Fish and similarly to your Torq review, I was surprised that my CI Fish was kinda challenging for paddling! 😮 Compared to my other flattish rocker boards, I realized your Torq review really shows how entry or exit rockers can make a noticeable difference in paddling! Keep up the great reviews! I enjoy ‘em!👍🏼

I have the Mod Pod Al Merrick Torq and it is quite good, I completely enjoy it. I got a 6'6 and am thinking about getting the 6'4 or 6'2. Floats well, paddles well but is also the higher line of TORQ surfboards Think. The price is pretty fare compared to most other mid length epoxy boards. I am how ever eyeing a HydenSHapes but it is 2X the price. I am surfing in Chile and usually 4-10 foot surf depending on the spot and swell and my TORQ handles it pretty great. I also have it in a Quad Fin set up 99% of the time unless I surf bigger hollower. waves. Where I live there are not many options and prices or very high for most boards, but TORQs are imported here at a reasonable price.

Was curious a bit about the pod mods, glad you enjoy yours and thank you for your comment. Sounds like Chile's got some juice in their waves.

@@Namidan-The-Surf-and-Sea Yes The Mod Pod's are pretty amazing, more volume and a more "professional" board. Chile has some of the best waves in the world all year round. Never seen it flat here in 23 years. Usually too big for my 56 years LOL..

i had a 7'2 when i first got back into surfing after like 6-8 months of not really surfing, it was perfect for me and helped me to go from that to my current CI rocketwide @ 6"1 in only around 4 months.

Thanks for rhe review! Can you do the Walden Mini Mega Magic, 6'10" from Surftech maybe, seems like a cool board with crazy volume but very little info and feedback available.

woah, yeah thats a lot of volume, if theres some good opportunities on the marketplace I might look into. Of the surftech line I'm mostly eyeing out the In the Pink tho.
