Thank you so much! I just got new countertops and a new sink, switching from dual bowl to single bowl, with a new faucet. The piping had to be replaced and I figured I would get a new garbage disposal. The plumber quoted me $650 just for installation of the faucet, disposal, and replacing the PVC piping. Thanks to your video and a couple others, I got it all done in one afternoon for about $25 in parts!

Thanks for info and your video. I had 2 leaks after i replaced the last Garbage Disposal inside pipes. I wish Moen had a wrench slot under the Disposal if a jam my go on. Instead, if this long wrench tool you must keep putting inside to un jamb it..Take care and be well. Thanks very informative.

Thank You. You saved me $284 on installation. That’s how much Home Depot wanted. Did it myself. Wasn’t quick for me because the Moen Prep didn’t fit exactly as the badger. Different pipe size to the drain. 24 hours later and it’s all dry under the sink.

I had a Moen garbage disposal installed by a " professional " however had to replace my sink a year after and decided to do it myself. After watching your instructions, I came to find "the professional" included a paper shipping gasket above the plumbers putty! There was a very slow leak that was unnoticeable but was causing erosion to the metal mounting bracket underneath. I caught it in time thanks to your instruction. Thank you!

Very Solid "How To", Brother! No surprises. Hint to those coming from an Insinkerator model: The flange assembly under the sink is much like the Moen's, so for that removal, just reverse the install process Nathan shows you here from the snap ring removal and you'll be good to go. Use the hard pipe. More work but better results. The flex pipes normally leak.

Install 1HP Moen Garbage Disposal, I could not lift the unit up underneath the sink, so I use my small truck jack, It was very easy once to install then.

Everything is the same except don’t remove the dishwasher plug. If you remove the plug, water will leak out the of the dishwasher port.
