*Works great: **Fastly.Cool** and Warming environment perfectly controlled. I use 3 in different grow tents. It’s nice to see from your phone how your tent temps are. Does High and Low and records data.*

This is helpful, but I'm still trying to find out if this type of thermostat can have a remote sensor? Our thermostat is in a up stairs bedroom that is often not heated, I'd like the sensor to be in our lounge. Would you know if there are remote sensors, or even if a smart-phone/tablet could act as the thermostat sensor?

Hi Julian, my old thermostat just had 2 wires, basically its a switch that closes a 220v circuit. I have no neutral. How would you connect in that case to the thermostat you show in the video, I have the same one. The thermostat powers up ok when I connect terminals 3 and 4 with a 220v feed.
@julianjones79143 жыл бұрын
I cannot advise as I haven't proven this, but perhaps the dry contacts on 1 & 2 should loop the 220 volts back to operate the pump etc? Rgds

By the way, have you been able to use the scheduling feature? Whenever I set the temperature to change by schedule, it gets to that temperature and then stops triggering the boiler. I used 1mm square cabling by the way. Are we supposed to use 2.5mm square?
@julianjones79143 жыл бұрын
@@Subi_UK I've never used the scheduling facility, but would expect it to behave as you say, unless I've misunderstood you. I did use 2.5 mm cable, only because I had some spare and the run was around 3 metres. However it was a challenge terminating it inside the MoesGo , and its power rating was significantly more than required! I believe 1mm cable is rated around 5A ,(although that is dependent on various factors), and so you would need to check the rating of the equipment you have connected it to.
@Subi_UK3 жыл бұрын
@@julianjones7914 Hi Julian. I ended up using 1 mm cable over 5 metres. Everything is working now. Still can't get over how good it is!! You can change the temp from your phone or using Google voice. The geek inside me is loving this!! Thanks again.

Hi there, I tried to install the same Moesgo thermostat to replace Honeywell old model; but the Moesgo thermostat does not seem to power up. When I went back to old Honeywell thermostat, it powers up. Any thoughts?
@julianjones79143 жыл бұрын
All I can suggest is to double check the mains wiring is connected to the correct pins of the Moesgo, and that the terminations are tight. Confirm with a multimeter that the live and neutral voltage is correct if you are competent. Check that you have adhered to the manufacturers installation instructions. You may just have a faulty Moesgo.
@MrDanicu9793 жыл бұрын
Hello sir. This a very good video. one question though if you would be so kind to answer. Do you have a separate programmer that you set always on?
@julianjones79143 жыл бұрын
Hi. Yes the Moesgo is connected to a central heating programmer, although it is not scheduled to always be on. Of course, when the programmer is off, then the Moesgo cannot regulate the temperature!
@amuthanshan2 жыл бұрын
@Julian Jones, you responded to @MrDanicu979 that your central heating programmer is not permanently on. So if there isn't a permanent live going into the Moesgo thermostat, I am assuming the Moesgo goes completely off so the display turns off so you can't read what the temperature is at times - no big deal for most people. More importantly I assume the Moesgo has a memory of all the settings you previously entered so it won't forget them when the Moesgo turns off and back on. And I assume when the Moesgo turns back on, it determines the current time by accessing the internet because it has no internal battery to remember the current time with.

Hi Julian. I have the same thermostat but am having issues. I have 4 wires and they are all connected right. But when the tmerostat clicks to turn on it does not route electricity to contact (port2) like honeywell did to port 3. It thinks it is on but the boiler does not switch on. Any ideas? I first thought it was broken. Got a second one. Same problem
@julianjones79143 жыл бұрын
Hi. I'm sorry, but without being there with a good multimeter, I can only suggest a process of elimination! Its quite possible to get two faulty thermostats if there is a batch fault. If you haven't already use an appropriate multimeter after rechecking the Moesgo settings to; test the continuity of Moesgo contact loop when its set to high temperature.; With mains power off test the continuity of the neutral and live wires to and from the boiler, via the programmer as necessary. Good luck.
@emreb3 жыл бұрын
@@julianjones7914 One more question. In your example, what did you do with the ground cable that comes from the boiler (yellow/green one)? Just not connect it anywhere?

Excellent video, helped me to wire up my stat. However, so far the only command I have managed to use with Alexa is to set the temp when it manual mode. ie Alexa set thermostat 19 degrees. Alexa does not recognise the request to switch from programmed mode to manual mode or any other commands. Has anyone figured out the correct requests that work with Alexa?

hi Julian i refer you to a similar installation video by LaymanDIY and similar jumper solution to the one you suggested. However if you read comments section on his video by one Jurij Avesenak you will see a more satisfactory explanation of how to use the thermostat which does not require a jumper. Any thoughts?
@blackcyclist2 жыл бұрын
yes I agree. You shouldnt need the jumper as the connection is done inside the unit. I have set this up and I only have a neutral in N, Live in L and a switch live in NO that goes back to the boiler (via a 2 port valve) If you have 2 heating zones, likely a fairly new build, you probably have the same setup. Dont be fooled by seeing two wirles going to your existing Danfoss room stat, they are likely a live and switch live going back to your 2PV. This all now works for me. Ive simply relocated the new stat at the 2PV

Morning. Sorry but it is a long time since I did this so I cant advise further. It wont work with just two wires live and neutral , as the Moesgo needs live and neutral to function. I explained how to connect it all correctly this in the video, including looping the live wire.
