I recommend Thrilling Tales when you use her with an OP sub-dps that benefits a lot from it. Even has hp stat! Great fit just like Barbara, my favorite is with Beidou since Kokomi has nice on-field ranged hydro and heals so you can bring something like Fischl and Venti.

I use my Jean as physical DPS with 2 piece bloodstained/ 2 piece pale flame and Aquila Favonia and she slaps, 27k from every charge attack, and E and R still does lotta damage despite not building anemo bonuses. She’s literally an one man army, does literally everything. Not mentioning constant fall damage :)

Im still really amazed they didn't give Kokomi anything to make her stand out as a healer. No revive con, no burst heal, just the standard heal on hit and the jellyfish HoT. She's still a great healer, but the fact that she has only slightly better multipliers than *Barbara* really shows that while she isn't worse, she's not really better either. And since most people have C6 Barbara, they get a revive AND a burst heal which can be more situationally useful than consistent healing over time.

I realized that Mihoyo's intention for Kokomi is for her to an on-field tank while she's supported by three sub-DPS characters. This is why she's paired with Kaeya, Xiangling and Lisa in her trial because they can all do off-field damage. And if you use her like that, except I would use Beidou or Fischl instead of Lisa personally, she's actually kind of crazy since she's an unkillable fortress. Her burst gives a ton of interruption resistance so she doesn't need a shield and because she's Hydro, she can endlessly proc reactions. It's a very unusual way to play a character but its actually pretty fun. It's almost like since she's the commander of her team leading her party to battle and taking the brunt of the damage.

that's how i play the game since 1.0 with noelle. except noelle does a lot of aoe damage of her own and can work with other types of parties, not just full sub-dpses. kokomi should have been better than this. the only thing she has going for her is her element, which is probably the best in the game.

Somewhat. Prototype Amber at R5 restores more energy, so an easier Burst uptime. And it heals a bit as well. You'll do about 1k more damage a normal hit with her signature weapon but Prototype Amber will charge you faster.

Ways to improve Kokomi: E skill : Will heal every party member but the on field will get healed more E skill : gives her water walking for longer so that when the jelly fish disappears she’ll still have 1 second to summon a new one and keep walking on water Ult skill : It will last longer and she attacks quicker and maybe even more big numbers Normal skill : Will heal by default but like not a lot unless you build her to do more healing and maybe bigger numbers again? you should remember that, you can pop her e, wait about 7 seconds or so, then pop the ult to refresh the jellyfish, then the jellyfish will leave once ur e cooldown is over and essentially have 100 percent uptime on her bake-kurage.

So I want to share my thoughts on Kokomi, I'm super disappointed, even her story feels kinda boring, so let me list out all the things I'm disappointed with: 1. she's basically a 5 star Barbara but the only thing she's better than Barbara is healing. (I've tested my dps Barbara and sadly Barbara deals more damage) 2. spoiler alert for those who haven't played her story, even her story feels like a Barbara, so basically she's a person that a lot of people admire like Barbara, and she's not good with crowded people like Barbara, and meeting the traveller makes her feel better like Barbara, like what the hell? I'm more attracted by Gorou and Kujo Sara in Kokomi's story, why? 3. honestly I really don't mind the minus crit thing, but having a kit like that I expect her to have something like Zhongli's talent, the one that have a damage bonus base on 1.39hp thing, but no, we get a "you will heal more and deal meh damage when using ult" as her talent, first of all it only benefits on her Ult, and her ult only lasted for 10 seconds, AND it requires 70 energy 4. if Kokomi actually gives a buff to other characters I don't mind her being a pure healer, but none of her abilities give buff, even Barbara give a 15% hydro damage bonus 5. her constellation, omg what were Mihoyo thinking, if they didn't want Kokomi to be a DPS in the first place, THEN WHY DOES SHE HAS 5 CONSTELLATIONS THAT BUFF HER DPS POTENTIAL OUT OF 6??? to make it worse, even at c6 her damage is not even that impressive, why??? Kokomi is my favourite character so of course I'm upset that she's a little under performing, really doubt that they will buff her but I hope they buff her......

I have a fully built barbara for healing. Kokomi cant come close, Barbara with 9 9 9 talents and a full healing setup can heal my 50k HP zhongli from almost death (sub 2k HP) to full with an ult pop. Barbara heals better, because she heals faster + Barbaras E isn't stationary, only limited by the fact you apply the wet status to yourself (also heals more per tick)

It’s ALL about building her correctly. Go for a healing bonus circlet, hydro DMG goblet, and HP% substats on everything. Also go for energy recharge, so she can use her burst immediately after cooldown. And definitely use her personal weapon, prototype amber, or thrilling tails. I did this and my Kokomi is absolutely broken. 10k-15k damage every attack during burst mode

A good build and she's a great heal with attack boost up nearly 100% of the time with the right Artifacts and good switching. Pair her with Albedo's abundant shields and damage boost, along with any ice, and you have an untouchable crew

Qiqi heals so much better than her and the Qiqi's kit is way better for the abyss. Qiqi can heal everyone with her skill and follow the active charactere. Kokomi's jellyfish stays in one spot which is hard to just stay there. Her ult also is somewhat underwhelming. I just got Kokomi on the hour she got released. I just wanted to get a Xinqui constellation but got her on 20 pity and 50/50. I also raised her and almost same stats with my Qiqi.

If a company sells a burger with questionable preservatives and unhealthy ingredients, but tastes amazing, would people feel offended if people criticized it? If a tech company sells a phone with bad specs and awful materials but it looks amazing, would people feel offended if reviewers hated on it? So Mihoyo makes something bad but slaps a cute face on it and makes it look pretty, now people are willing to overlook it's negatives because it's now a character and has to be defended. It's a bad product that's being sold as a "good" product. Customers criticize a company for making products that don't live up to the standards so that they change and release better ones.

(I hope I don't sounds snarky) The thing with pyro cube shield was a bit more complex than a cooldown on the shield - it's the character's ability internal cooldown, cooldown limiting how often they can apply an element There are some things with no ICD (Xiangling burst, Yanfei charged, Kokomi skill [technically it does have an icd, practically it doesn't], plunges and more), but generally you can apply an element once every 3 hits/2.5 seconds Sooo you can use something with shorter/no ICD to break the shield faster - like Kokomi's E That's also why for example Ganyu is so good at breaking Herald's shield - Cryo is already it's weak element, and she has no ICD on her 2nd level charged shots Idk, I hope someone may have learned something new thanks to this comment lol

She is fine in my opinion. Some scaling adjustments would be welcome yet she is a great healer that deal decent damage like Qiqi. Unlike Qiqi she isn't an energy deficit (edit) and can more rapidly apply her element. She is not a DPS, though there are some fun enabling teams. Not every unit needs to be damage focused. We already have damage dealers for every released element. The main issue I have is that she has no special swimming/ sprint swimming animations.

Bursting resets it yes but eventually you won't be ready to burst again and will have to wait. With sacrificial though it will always be ready which is pretty viable tbh and makes it to where you dont have to worry about using her burst to heal more and losing screentime on main dps

Crazy to think her performance on the Abyss, practically made for her, was kinda bad. Both Jean and Barbara heal way more than her (and instantly). If she healed instantly on her Burst, I think she would be pretty solid, but unfortunately I think I will skip on her this time (I also don't need another healer, and don't have the means to make a strong "meme build" on her to do dmg XD)

@@newbie4789 Yes, the abyss at the time was pretty hard for her. Nowadays she's good because of her support capabilities with a lot of team comps, especially freeze ones, which isn't particularly because of actually "her", but because what she provides. And I was meaning more in terms of healing at the time. Jean and Barbara still recover full health practically with their ults, while hers she needs to be on the field, taking time for another character just to heal. But if you're a whale, or if you're lucky enough, you can make her become a dps or a sub dps herself, so yeah. She's good as a hydro applicator, but still doesn't shine as well as other healers if you don't build damage on her, and make her heal be an "extra", imo.

@@GoshTimeBR I think you are still thinking about auto attacking with her burst activated. Most of the current top tier teams which uses Kokomi doesn't do it. The burst is just a medium to reset the jellyfish. And you really don't need any more than the jellyfish healing.

Like Ganyu skill, Yanfei skill and burst...etc. Also, people do use Kokomi burst in clam set builds with Tazor and sukokomon teams

I pulled for her because it was gonna be a 50/50 pull and i have lost every 50/50 since I started then game. I was gonna be okay if I lost it so I then get a guarantee banner 5 star on the next banner. I actually won a my 50/50 this time and got her. I tried pulling for her weapon afterwards and got it really quick. I’m really happy with her and thankfully I did get her since I doubt will see her again for a while haha.

I’m really curious for CN response to Kokomi because there’s Kokomi slander everywhere for English speaking players. It’s quite disappointing tbh how the community is reacting. I went hiatus for Genshin because of the community… when I return it’s worse than ever! I play on Asia server and saved primo for Xiao 2 months prior. I also always play co op domain and there was some players who scoff at my Xiao etc.. it made me really sad and I had to reconsider going on co op again (it’s not just xiao but my other low characters that I’m trying to raise, of course they have low DPS because I’m raising them! That’s why I’m in co op domains smh!!). I saw comment that Kokomi wanters do not care about meta and are the nicest people. And I honestly agree! The day Kokomi for release, a kokomi owner busted my world to farm Specters. After they’re done they played me 3 songs on the Lyre. It was so nice haha some whales also go in new players world and help me out with my exploration or fighting certain bosses. I love and hate Genshin community at the same time, it’s so annoying when people pixilate on numbers. If you like a character, just play it! The game isn’t a competition, it was not designed that way..

@@Dyslexiella I don't think her damage is good, I was pointing out that, if people do want to DPS with Kokomi because they like her a whole lot, getting c1 won't help them in that endeavour. For some reason all of her constellations try to increase her burst damage, which maybe at c6 it becomes strong, but I prefer her more for her jelly fish in freeze teams.

Currently through my experimentation i think right now kokomi’s best team is gonna be sucrose, beidou and fischl, with her acting as the hydro enabler for our 2 electro dpses, its very very promising for me so far, and mine has basically absolute jank. She is practically immortal, and the off field dpses kill really fast.

Yeah and they die quickly, i’ve tried it with childe i have 0 def and healing. Literally have to use up another slot for a healer/shielder, plus xingqiu is literally desired for any vape team, so having kokomi handle the tazer works the best.

@@IamAmygdala eh I’ve actually done tests literally not kokopium, since literally given the team i stated above, fischl, beidou and sucrose, no healing and only shield is beidou’s weak one if you use xq you lose out on opportunity since he is wanted in so many other teams, and childe will have to constantly dodge to stay alive leading to him not attacking. The only alternative you can get is to replace sucrose with jeanne, zhongli or noelle.

Kokomi is like Raiden.. you need to use her E before Q.. also if you're using her with Raiden, optimally you'd Raiden E > Kokomi E > Main DPS for about 10 secs or other 2 characters Q> Kokomi Q (resets Kokomi E) > Raiden E > Raiden Q.. I think I'm going to use her with Ayaka + Raiden + Kazuha/Zhongli
