The sad truth is, it’s often so raw when you go through a separation of any kind that it’s hard to invite anyone in to hold your hand let alone the pain in your heart. Harder when you get reminded of an old flame too. My former boss once said something to me when I spoke about a lost love that resonated with me. “Each time you get your heart broken you learn to love more honestly and more deeply.” For me, I think he was speaking of the maturity we develop from shattered dreams and feelings; you become aware that love is fragile and you don’t take any relationship for granted. So you show up in each new relationship as a more whole ‘you’ and someone who is always worthy of being loved, because that’s our birthright. Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery pieces, and I’ve always thought its deeper meaning is, that something can always be salvaged from things that get broken. 🕯

@@mogliofficial YES!! I'm just beginning to realize this after losing my mom recently!! (December 18th, right before her favorite holiday... Christmas) She was my best friend and taken from me at only 64. I'm doing my best to incorporate dance to release emotions from my personal past ..so again from the bottom of my heart...thank you for bringing awareness to depression and mental illness in general through your story. You are an inspiration to me to keep pushing through❤️
