@@rahimerayane4298 Hi Rahime, the truth is that I went to a Christian school for 8 years and studied the Bible, learnt about different believes such as Roman Catholic, Baptism, Calvinist etc but I have never ever experienced the same type of peace, love, selflessness and kindness what I experienced when I met a Muslim Turkish girl back in 2012. I encountered with a few Muslim people since and they were the nicest people ever. It is such a shame that Islam has a bad reputation because there is something very unique in that religion if it gives that kind of peace for a believer but I think people can not understand this unless they meet somebody who touches their heart like these people did with mine. Love to you and your family ♥️

@@szabadsag7 Hello there Brother 😃 and good afternoon thanks again for your responding in such a respectful manner ,yes you are totally right 👍 🌹 people can not understand this unless they meet somebody who touches their heart ,Relative to me as muslim I’ve always been interested in religions and I’m quite lucky because I have several christians friends so we’re able to share facts about our religions like similarities and differences so I knew several things about christianity teaches and many religious have such similarities unfortunately some hate speechs don’t promote love and understanding between our religions and create division and misunderstandings between societies, Unfortunately the tragedy and hypocrisy of media is their hunger to distort the image of Islam and muslims and incitement to religious hatred, against Islam and Muslims ,i think we could don't judge any religion based on individual's perceptions and actions, i hope that people don’t fall into the trap of trying to understand Islam from a media that don’t care about truth. We must Understand Islam by our own self,we need to know the basics of Islam, as you know the Islamophobia caused the unaware much confusion about Islam through continuous media propaganda,I have many non-Muslims friends who completely changed their views on Muslims and Islam, just by reading a simple book about the life of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) or other book about islam , I hope from my heart that people focusing on reading actual articles and books, rather than news aimed at sensationalizing hate towards what one or two Muslims did,by the way I'm Muslim from Algeria how about you 😃 much respect and love brother and have a blessed night

During his fourteen-year imprisonment the United States never charged him with a crime. Now he is able to tell his story in full, with previously censored material restored. This searing diary is not merely a vivid record of a miscarriage of justice, but a deeply personal memoir--terrifying, darkly humorous, and surprisingly gracious. The Mauritanian is a document of immense emotional power and historical importance.

Looking and listening to this man, and reflecting on his story, that hell he has gone through leaves every decent, humble man without a single word.. One of the saddest stories I have ever heard that had happened to an individual. His story is a proof that even "the greatest democracy" of this planet can become a fascist swamp in a split second . Hats off to the US self-criticism that has been happening through books, movies and plays only unfortunately , but the core, the main essence is still there: that country whose only population was living in tents and riding horses while my country had universities, parliament, libraries, scientific institutions etc. has been, still is and will stay a fortress of fear and paranoia. Until the large part of the US population (as we could see the last year, at least 50% of them) don't go through a massive the cathartic moment of enlightenment, we will keep watching and listening stories like this one.

What a beautiful, beautiful soul. Someone else in this comments section said you’d never think he spent any time in jail, and this perfectly describes the type of person Mohamedou is. To endure these morbid treatments but still be able to smile and bring a smile to others faces. I am at a loss of words really, such a character is incredibly rare. A true gem and blessing to this world. I used to wonder why there are lawyers who defend people who have committed horrific crimes, but have come to realize that just as much as we need people who defend the victimized, we need people to ensure that justice is being served to everyone involved. Lawyers aren’t defending a crime, but ensuring that the suspect is guilty beyond reasonable doubt. Without someone like Nancy, we could’ve easily said that Mohamedou confessed to his doings and that’s the end of the story, but his case proves that there’s far more that must go into finding a person guilty of a crime and truly serving justice. Unfortunately there are many cases like Mohamedou’s who we just haven’t heard, people who haven’t had the chance to have their stories considered, and it breaks my heart to think about.
