There is another gentleman from Pakistan , his name is Syed Skhawat huzoor Bukhari , he is a disciple of Marhoom Mehdi Hasan Sahb , and this singer is immensely talented . These artists need to be promoted otherwise the art of ghazal gayeki will eradicate and we will be left with our young generation, who unfortunately obsessed with emulating the western music .

What a knowledgeable, talented and loving person Mazhar ji is. Beautiful to listen to him. The interviewer also kept the tone conversational and like a "mehfil". Although not totally relevant to the discussion, one can't help but regret that one of the biggest losses from the partition of India was separation of this type of talent into different countries, specially when you hear Mazhar ji talk about Ishwar Allah and Kanhaiyya ki murali. BaalWale bhaiyya ji (I am yet to find your real name), please make a longer discussion with him, in fact he deserves many hours so all this knowledge and talent can be recorded for generations to come.

If Lata had declined to sing with ANYONE else for seven years, that would be the end of that person’s career. Rafi Saab was unaffected by this turn of events. In fact, during that time the careers of other female singers like Suman Kalyanpur blossomed! Such was his greatness. A similar thing happened with movie mogul B R Chopra. And yet when they came around, Rafi Sahab sang for/with them as though nothing had happened! God’s avatar on earth!!!

I have watched/listened hundreds of interviews of renowned musicians/singers and every one told that no singer is like Rafi sb. He was the modern Tansen. Enjoyed listening the talk on Rafi Sahab gayeki and personality. Many ragis, singers sang shabad of Dhan Dhan Shri Guru Gobind Sahab Ji I.e.'Mitter pyare nu haal muridan da kehna' but Rafi Sahab has sang this shabad so nicely, devotionally which immediately connects one with Almighty God. I rate Rafi Sahab as a best singer in the world.
