Hey!! I'm from Bangalore and ragimudde is a staple in Karnataka.. U need to knead the dough dipping your palm in cold water while making balls out of the dough.. you have to make balls out of the dough just like when you make rice bakhri but bigger in size.. the technique is the same as rice bhakri dough so I m sure u wil be spot on next time as u made perfect bakhris.. 🙂 and also add little more water to get a soft dough which wil make it easier to swallow.. and yes you should definitely swallow it..

Mohita if you want it as smooth as gulping it without chewing , then firstly you need to cook a little rice very soft so that it gets mashed up finely with the ragi flour. This will give you the exact smooth gulping texture to the mudde. It's an authentic way of preparing ragi Mudda, in Rayala seema.

To make smooth mixture for ragi mudde, sift the flour first. and use the pav bhaji masher when the lumps have formed. it will break the lumps and give you a smoother mixture.

Hello!!! Firstly, great attempt and i can say it turned up to be really good, one suggestion is while making them gol gol keep a container of cool water next to you and dip your hand in the water while making ragi mudee, dip it and make gol wen u feel hot again dip it and make gol, you will not feel hot if you try this tip, 😇
