The very best on Mohr's circle problems. Just a simple question: how can I draw the Mohr circle for an open ended cylinder subjected to internal pressure only? Thank you

The angle to principal strain follow the same rule as for stress?
@Ashenfernando9119 жыл бұрын
very helpful.but how to find the direction of stresses?
@likithnagaraja94236 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, In the same example if you took epsilon y to be a certain value (except not equal to epsilon x), how would the Mohr's circle then be computed? As I understand the center of the Mohr's circle should lie on the X axis, I'm not sure how you would plot the points if epsilon y had some value. Really appreciate your work, it's been very helpful.

Is there any point in drawing a Mohr's circle for strains? Isn't the entire point of strain gauges to convert these results to stresses then draw Mohr's circle for these? Can someone please explain and not let my question go unanswered for the 30000th time on youtube..
