Back story: Josh and Julia were actually reel to real couple (aka Joshlia). They have been together for more than 3 years. Everyone loved them for their great chemistry but when Julia got casted in a movie with a different leading man (Gerald Anderson) everything went 180° and people started hating Julia. Apparently, Gerald and Julia developed romantic feelings for each other while they were still both in a relationship with Bea Alonzo and Josh, respectively. When josh says that he didn't even got to protect her, he was referring to that time when Julia got bullied by people on social media for allegedly ruining Gerald and Bea's relationship and not giving Josh closure. These all happened over a year ago. So this is essentially the closure people have been wanting Joshlia to have.

They started off as best friennds and were together for 2 years, they helped each other build their careers. They were a famous love team, hence their entire relationship was public. We literally watched them grow and overvome obstacles together. When a rumor that josh cheated came out, Julia quickly defended him. They apparently broke up in april and thats when Julia got into a third party rumor, the whole nation crucified her for something she didn't do. She was called degrading names and lost all her deals. And josh just stayed silent. Even tho he knew it wasn't true. Thats why in the video he apologized for not being able to protect her cause he got scared. also, that short clip they added was their first out of the country trip. That video was edited by josh and he uploaded it on his secret youtube account :") AAAAA MY JOSHLIA HEART OH AND JOSHLIA WERE CLOSE FRIENDS OF MOIRA THATS WHY THEY AGREED. According to the actor who played as the Priest,when they are going to shoot the last scene whick is the girl apologizing the director asks almost all of the crew to go outside the venue leaving only the director,the two actors and camera men,the director instructed the two to just say whatever they want to each other genuinely since they didn’t have any proper closure in real life when they broke up.There’s no script to be memorized there and all of the lines was adlibs.I think the reason why this hits so hard because we can fell the pain of these two,they are not acting,they are broadcasting their own life using this music video -ctto
