@@EtchTheGetch not "easier": better. Better visually, because most of the channeling we've seen was air, white, and within a white mist... not much to see. And it was a mistake, symbolically, in the books anyway, maybe not black, as it's a different kind of evil, so maybe grey or brown... but still, evil, so black is better then white (everywhere else in the books referring to the Light, usually). Also, the sound is just perfect, creeping slowly all over...it will be gorgeous to watch people getting engulfed by it (instead of diseapearing in ...tendrils of mist)

@@ChristmasLore The evil of shadar logoth is meant to represent the idea of serving the light at any cost, with any moral price being negligible. White would make sense for it, because it is opposed to the dark one, even if it abandons all good to do so.

@@poffzihavenoidea531 , that's way, way too complex an explanation for a viewer without barely any knowledge of the world of WOT. Black vs White is pretty universal (at least in western medias). Even for reader, the explanation doesn't really stand. It's still evil at the end (this end..), whatever their intentions had been. Imagine Padan Fain with a half black half white...cloak? Like the symbol of the Dragon fang and the flame, but signifying something completely different? At least to me, it simply seemed like Jordan made a bad choice (he did that often...), and anyway pictured it as something dark as I was reading it. That's the joy of books I guess, to each its own interpretation. The choice the team made does make sense, at least to me 🍃

As if I was excited enough for Season 1 to air, this just makes me even more excited. I’m glad to see that Moraine shares her story about her quest to find the Dragon Reborn so non-fans of the book have a better understanding of what’s going on + showing Rand, Matt, and Perrin as she asks the question, “Who is the Dragon Reborn?” clearly illustrating that the 3 boys are central to the story.

This gave me many more feels than I expected. You see, many years ago while I was reading The Wheel of Time series, I had Thomas Bergersen's epic collection of trailer music as my playlist, especially his recently released Illusions album. Many songs from that album played many times as I read this series, to the point that when I listen to them my mind goes back to the Wheel of Time world. Imagine my shock when I begin watching this (the first trailer I've seen because I somehow missed the other ones) and there, in the background, is Rada, a song that already evokes images of this world. I just about cried.

Best teaser I’ve seen so far. Every single bit of promo I’ve seen before made me feel very meh, but this one has me genuinely intrigued. Still not 100% sold on the show, but this teaser got me a bit more excited.

Well the whole mythical premise of the book revolves around the age coming again after a while... So there is no last dragon..

Can’t wait for Nov 19th. Let’s cross our fingers this is a decent adaptation. The books have a lot of fat but a lot of epic scenes too. Jordan was great but incredibly verbose and long winded. If you just segment all the “scenes” in the book it becomes less daunting to adapt. Some plot lines inevitably will be cut, some descriptions of characters and places will undoubtedly be different due to logistics and production realities. I’m REALLY rooting for them!

I really like that they’re not showing us any of the big parts of the books in these promoes i.e tarwins gap, the eye of the world, falme and the Sean chan. Leaves a lot to the imagination and makes me excited!

Bruh. Dumai's wells would be epic if done right. But I'm not sure Amazon would be up for it. How can you show that meat grinder without being too graphic? Even the description in the books was not easy.

@@jimzimmer2048 I don't think it has to do with PC or not, but rather restrictions due to rating systems. How do you show a battle where thousands of people are suddenly and violently ripped apart or exploded (quite literally) and keep a rating at MA or lower? Most people won't care, but for many, they might second guess watching it, especially if they have younger children.

@@patrickdavis102 I was kind of hoping for a TV-MA rating from the beginning so that it could be done right and more to the books. I was actually disappointed when it came out with the lower rating. Millions of people are looking for that GOT fiction/fantasy replacement. Not necessarily all the boobs and such but certainly the more accurate battle scenes. I don't want this to be another MTV Shannara....granted, the production value does already look much better than that.
