Ingredients;
Make sure butter and buttermilk are cold
3 Cups of Self-Rising Flour
1/3 Cup of Sugar (optional)
1 Tsp of Baking Powder
1 Cup of Whole Buttermilk
1 1/2 Sticks of Unsalted Butter
2 Cups of Fresh Blueberries
Directions
1. Mix flour, baking powder and sugar together.
2. Cut butter into small chunks and mix in flour.
3. Add blueberries and mix well.
4. Add in buttermilk.
5. Flour a flat surface and begin rolling your dough out. Flatten dough and then fold it over itself several times to develop layers within the biscuit.
6. Flatten to your desired thickness and then cut biscuits out with a cookie cutter or drinking glass.
7. Add to a greased pan and bake on 375 until biscuits are golden brown on the top.
8. Brush with more butter and cover with foil and a damp paper towel for 5 - 10 minutes.
9. Serve while still hot. Enjoy!!
