it's going to be finally made on the 9th year. 8 years before that is the higher ups trying to get an animation studio to do the job. Remember S2 went to JC Staff because Madhouse refuses to do it in the first place. JC staff was handed a tough to beat project, with hellish workload and scheduling. S1 was given to a director who was given freedom to call in many good animators.

The funny thing is, if you read the original webcomic by ONE the art is so god awful because the guy can write but not draw, but it's still so well written and paced that it's still incredibly enjoyable to read. Dude the ending fight for OPM S1 is by far one of my favorite fight scenes in anime, and its a lot by how they animated the movement, its something about the really exaggerated and simple geometric backgrounds that make it look like you're travelling at mach 3.

The reason why the 2nd Season of OPM looks so incredibly "bad", it's not because of J.C Staff "laziness", but because they had a overwhelming short amount of time to produce the anime and let me tell you, J.C Staff are capable to create excellent animes., it's just that for OPM they had a hell of a schedule to work with. I mean, not even MadHouse could have of save the Season if they were the ones to work on those conditions. The reason why the 1st Season looked so good it's because MadHouse had a lot of time to produce the anime and to count with an amazing director and staff, to give some perspective, when the 1st Season was announced, they had already finished almost all the episodes of the Season, while on the other hand, when J.C Staff showed the 1st trailer of the 2nd Season they had barely finished the first 2/3 episodes. Edit: Correct me if i'm wrong but i remember a while back that the 2nd Season was supposed to be released around 2020 and only the first episode was supposed to be released in 2019, but thanks to the big amount of pressure that the fans put on the company, they had to rush at the speed of light to release the 2nd Season for this year (But i'm not entirely sure about that).

They chose to release a fucking powerpoint presentation bc their fans where whiny about it? Also they did pretty good for the short amount of time they've been given, I am aware that some episodes aren't so great looking, but when there's some really good moments they actually feed us some great animation. Have you forgotten about the garou vs tanktop master fight, or the garou vs genos fight, oR the garou vs blast fight, orrrrr the metal bat vs elder centipede fight, orororor the saitama vs suriyu fight. If they didnt care they would have just made the first and last episode look decent. Even so i think being able to give us this amount of great animation in such a short amount of time just shows that they are capable of making a good season 3.

OPM s2 was bad. The trash cgi, the random cuts to black screen, bad direction as in no proper tone shift, lego like characters, terrible deviantart textures, and shit frame rates. Only ep 3 and 11 were average. The rest were way below average. I hope they change studios.

I really do recommend watching season 1, then reading the Manga where S2 starts. It's got a better sense of motion than the ANIME does. Then go watch S2 afterwards. The manga is even free to read online as it's digitally released for free, in Japanese so you'll have to find a fan translation. If you wanna support it VIZ does the official release but they do have bad translations that feel like there's no soul or care to it in some scenes. Memeworthy bad in some cases.
