I made this cake with (3) 9 inch pans. It rose a lot in the middle. Any recommendations on how to fix this. Should I decrease oven temp since the layers are thinner? Or possibly decrease the baking powder?

🍪🍰I got my mixer and all attachments from nutimil, with the bakers bundle and the bundle for shred, grind, slice all with different blade swaps. it's took me 10 months to pay it off but, i love it so much. I didn't know what i was missing. 😅🎂

I make the traditional frosting for a red velvet cake which starts with a cooked flour base and is almond flavored. Personally, I find a Waldorf Astoria/Red Velvet cake relatively tasteless. It’s all about the frosting. I know a lot of people like it so I make it. I think it’s the novelty of it. I don’t dislike it by any means. It’s a nice moist cake. A few years ago I bought some old fashioned 8 inch cake pans that have that built-in separator that you twist to loosen the cake. I love those pans.

Mom always had me do most of the baking, especially bread, cookies and cakes and pies! One Thanksgiving she had me and my sister make the pies. I made everything from scratch, sister used store crusts. She did a pumkin and apple, I did a spiced pumpkin, lemon Meringue, and a dutch apple. Sister was supposed to do minced meat and a pumkin. At pie time Dad asked for pie and mom brought him a piece of pumpkin from mine and sisters, he took a bite of hers, took a bite from mine. Ate my piece and told mom to bring him my pie. I don't think she put any spices in hers cause it looked plain? It was bad. She didn't know how to cook. She was a very jealous and mean person. I would have taught her if she would have asked, I always wanted a sister, but she was never nice to me, it broke my moms heart cause her and her two sisters were close.😢 ❤I would have loved to been close sisters.
