Mojave Desert Waterhole - Great Horned Owl drinking

There were 2 owls at the water hole when I set up the camera. I am about 75ft away and in plain site of the owls while putting up the tripod. I thought they would fly away but they didn't, one did fly to a Joshua Tree about 20 ft away. You can see the one still on the ground looking up to his mate. Those are Gambel's Quail you hear in the background they who were close to where the camera is.

Lovely footage of an amazing animal. We are sometimes visited by a Tawny Frogmouth owl and even less often a Powerful owl both common Australian owls. Did you make the two bars deliberately as a perch for the birds to drink from?.... Owls are my favorite birds.

Thanks for watching. I actually put the two bars in to keep the Coyotes from steeling the "blue " water float valve. It is a swap cooler float that keeps the water level full.
