New to your channel. I have a few questions for you, but want to shout out to you first. I really appreciate your attitude. The way you talk and chuckle is very endearing. You handle yourself in a way that lends itself to some random stranger feeling like they can immediate;y trust you. That personality comes out in your videos and I wanted to point that out. Aka, thank you for what you do. Now my questions (problems?). I am torn, so damn torn, between wanting a Reflex or a Grom. I currently have a Senton 3s and love it! But, it is too big for traveling with. I am headed on a trip across the country this winter and want to bring my RC with me, but it needs to be smaller. I have a Losi Mini Jrx2, but not looking to bring that with me as I am a very bad driver, and need 4wd to really have fun. It also feels a bit too small. So, the 1/14 Reflex or the larger Groms (Mojave and Typhon) feel like they are about the right size. Years ago, I used to have an Associated TC3 and the size of that car is about what I am looking to emulate (size AND scale realism), but to have something that is capable with a bit of gravel/offroad added to it. The length, width, and wheel base of the TC2 is pretty closely mimicked by these two rigs. ===== I love the recently released kit version of the Reflex as I would love to build my own. Associated Factory Team Blue is a big turn on for me. I love the way the Mojave Grom LOOKS. It resembles my Senton. I love the scale "look" of RCs and that is something I consider when buying one. I am a bit of an Associated Fanboi, as Associated was my first rig way back in the early 90s. It was a used and heavily modified original RC10 that was converted into a dirt oval racer. I want a top speed of about 35-40 mph. No need to go faster as I already stated I am a bad driver. However, that means going brushless with either rig. I want to be about $250, or less, all in too. I already have a extra receiver and radio, but would need to buy a motor and ESC and battery, assuming the rig I buy doesn't come with them. ===== After watching this video, I began to think... What about a Reflex with the Arrma Mojave Grom body on it? Would that actually work? Help me out and help me decide what to do please!!! I guess my TL:DR version of this is... since you own the Reflex and the Mojave Grom, can you quickly take a looksie and see if my idea would actually work? Basically, can I get a Reflex, and transform it into a Mojave Grom look-alike, with brushless power, for $250 or less? (Disabled vet living on a fixed income so I can't afford "both" rigs)
@bigbristv3 ай бұрын
Thanks for this, and for your service 🫡. To answer your question, the Typhon Grom body will not work on the more squared chassis of the Reflex 14b. If I had to pick one, it would be the Reflex 14b, which comes brushless out of the box. All it needs to hit 35-40 is a $25 esc swap and maybe a 3s battery, which I've shown in other videos. EOD, I would go Mojave Grom (with the 70-90 odd bucks in upgrades I did) all day for a great rig that also fits in the pocket. Hope this helps!

I'm doing that dish wash detergent style paint job. I'm in Japan for work atm and it's crazy cheap especially for hop ups and Tamiya paint pitty I can't take that home. I have 2 shopping bags full and brought a rare green Grasshopper for 65AUD bargain and was the last one at Super Rajikon in Tokyo.
