This is a monthly watch and comfort video for me. I love these modules. Love qubits stuff!

I don’t think I’ve uploaded a single song without databender since I bought it. Have been looking for another module with that same ‘adds complexity yet always sounds good’ quality… this really looks like it might be it. Super excited to play around with one. Also, love the UI.

That's so great. Data Bender is like that...for sure. And yes, Mojave will give you that thing you so well described. :)

I’m sold. That polyphony mode did it. Great fucking job! Now to save up again lol

Nothing is more fun than taking any and all sounds and running them through overlapping polyphonic grains :)
@galimatiasmusic Жыл бұрын
For the instant polyphony example, what determines the harmony/chord progression? Is that a controllable function or randomly generated?
@QuBitElectronix Жыл бұрын
Great question! Mojave isn't intentionally playing chords per say, but it is quantizing the grains to a selected scale. The grains are big enough to overlap one another, creating pseudo chord washes. The scale is chosen by the Sky Mode button (the sun button in between the Distribute and Scale knobs). The default scales are Major (blue), Minor (green), and Chromatic (gold). Twilight Mode, the purple mode, is always unquantized. You can swap out the scales using our Narwhal web app, which we will be showcasing in our next video!

What is the grain fidelity on the module? Size and density…?
@QuBitElectronix Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question! Max grains is 24, and fidelity and resolution for Qu-Bit modules is 48k, 32-bit internal processing with 24-bit hardware converters. Let us know if you have any more questions!

@@QuBitElectronix thank you for the reply is there any data on minimum time length per grain?

What is wrong with my Mojave or what I am doing wrong... No matter how long the sentence I say (one word or several), when I switch to "" mode I can't hear my entire recording, it sounds like only 1 second of my voice was recorded (or even less), when I scroll "" I don't hear everything I recorded, only a tiny piece. I've updated my firmware to v1.0.2, but it did not help...my buffer saves only a tiny bit
@mmmsoundsystem Жыл бұрын
Interesting module, what is the size of the current buffer? Do you think that in the future the buffer size could be expanded or is it limited in its internal memory? thank you and greetings
@QuBitElectronix Жыл бұрын
The default buffer size is 16 beats of Mojave's clock rate, but you can customize your buffer size through our web app, Narwhal! The maximum buffer size is two and a half minutes.

when you turn Whirl and Drift to change the Dune Out, do they have a different way to work when Dune is patched as if it is unpatched?

Whirl and Drift still affect the grains the same way when Dune is patched or unpatched!

Is the feedback coming from the mic?

If you are referencing the Feedback Fundamentals patch example, the Gust knob creates an internal feedback loop if you turn the knob left from center!

sounds nice, but it's a bummer that when you stop the mic recording, you ear the button click !
@QuBitElectronix7 ай бұрын
Yeah, using the Lock feature as a "record" is more of a neat trick, but using the Gate Input would relieve keeping the click! Maybe we can add a setting in Narwhal that moves the Zone position to remove the first bit of audio!
