@@mojo_sportseverytime I get a chance to go I got to the pokemon section to see the slabs. I also grade through Burbank when I get a chance. The shop has the nicest employees. Even though I don’t collect too many sports cards I love walking around looking at those cases!

It's still just crazy to me how much loss there is in sports card grading. PSA makes out like a bandit while the consumer pays $15-$25 a card then gets it back and sells it for $3 and then it resells for $5. I guess the key is the middle man always makes out in the end.

If it changed hands 12 times in the last 5 years nobody lost enough in a trade to care. It goes both ways tho, it's beautiful really.

I went there with graded cards to sell n they where trying to give me A low ball offers for all my cards . Not even paying 50%. I that they were better than that . Dont like it there to sell cards . To buy sealed wax yes .

Like any retail store with anything video games you better off selling privately to get the most they have rent utilities employees list goes on why they can’t give you more they wouldn’t make anything especially if it sits on their shelves for long

Glad I'm not the store's Accountant!!! Bought it for "X" and sold it 6-months later for "X"....doing that THOUSANDS of times per year sounds like a logestic nightmare!!! EXTREMELY important to log that info correctly so they're not getting scorched by the IRS!

It’s not that difficult…… revenue - overhead - merchandise cost = profit It doesn’t haven’t to be done card to card when doing volume like this. If you buy at the right price you don’t have to micromanage individual transactions…..unless we’re talking $1,000+ cards of course.

@@AD-HVAC - I'm not saying card by card per say...but, it's critically important to know "cost of goods" to "sold for" in general! You're also forgetting a # of other factors/entries (salaries, cost of supplies, website costs, etc., etc). I own 3-companies... bookkeeping is critical in terms of not getting burned by the IRS when an audit happens at year-end. Burbank is certainly big enough to track that stuff (plenty of compentant employees)...it's some of the smaller shops that run into problems.

Their landlord (if they have one) or city of Burbank probably has something to do with that. A lot of landlords or municipalities have ridiculous rules for signage especially in shopping centers with fluid tenancy.
