Clearly, he still loves his ex. Whether he has cheated or not really is not the issue, and the current girlfriend needs to find her voice and kick him out or he will keep gaslighing her

Master gaslighter. - not likely. He was testing nothing. He got caught putting the pieces into place TO cheat. He hasn't cheated yet, I don't think, but he's setting the stage FOR cheating. He's already begun, isn't talking to her, and wants both worlds so he can have what he lacks from his 'current', getting it from his ex, and vise versa. Ditch him. He's not even trying to have an adult relationship. He's got a weak character, and has some growing up to do. And for the record, CHARACTER IS EVERYTHING...! Hey Mojo? It doesn't "stem" from childhood, that's a cop-out. If your parent says, don't do something, you obey or don't. So while it can happen during childhood, much of it comes from what we agree with and how we acquiesce to doing the right thing. Old souls take the High Road. This guy is part of the "low-roaders" group. He's a simp toward his ex and a fake alpha to current girl. He's con-fused, morally inadequate.
