I feel you with the wearing of the safety glasses. I put a pair on every time I flush the toilet.

It brings me great joy that you have introduced OSHA safety practices into your bathroom routine 🤣

You said, "We're gonna wear safety glasses". Does that mean that I need to wear safety glasses when I watch this video? Myself, I'm afraid of a lot of things, but not everything. So maybe I could get away with wearing the safety glasses for just the parts that seem scary to me. Also, great headband, or is that a tie? You must know martial arts, or maybe you just know someone who does. Competent guitar playing. Good to know you spent the time to learn how to play a little, unlike so many KZbinrs. Thumbs up 👍on the set, the lighting, and overall production values! Looks like you did a pretty nice job on the Mojotone kit, too. Pretty flowers and a nice color on the shirt.

Hi Andy, I'm actually wearing safety glasses right now since I generally feel unsafe anytime I am on the internet. I think a good compromise is to wear safety glasses sometimes and a protective cup at all times. The headband is not a tie. It's actually a ceremonial award I received for being top of my class at Dan's Big Time Karate. Dan operates his class out of the 'Forget N' Store' self storage solution in Worcester, Massachusetts. His classes are very intimate. I appreciate the kind words regarding my playing and set up. You managed to comment on all the areas I have been focusing on and it means a lot to have those efforts be noticed! Stay Saucy Friend!

Thanks for the testing procedure portion. Planning a 5f2a build and seeing the scary parts really helped.

Awesome little build. I am just getting started with pedals, just ordered the Skeptical Buffer, its a copy of the 29 pedals Euna, cant wait to get it together.
@shoetiquemusic
@shoetiquemusic Жыл бұрын
Thanks MoR! I like the Euna - it has a nice and simple EQ section and all the benefits of a solid buffer. It's just way over priced for what it is. A DIY Euna is the way to go!

@@shoetiquemusic Yea, Pedal Pcb does not have the build doc out for it yet, so far I made a simple switch for my JHS Morning Glory v4 and a bit of pick up wiring, but I love pedals and I love saving money, I will make it work!

Very cool, man. I’m considering doing a build in the next few months. I love me a good champ amp and these don’t look too bad to build. Thanks for sharing!

Erratum: 0:08 - It's a 5F1 not a F51 6:47 - I stated that the cathode bypass cap on V1 increases the gain of the 6V6, which it does not. It increases the gain of the 12AX7 (A or B sides) it is attached to. 7:46 - The chassis is made of 18 Gauge Cold-Rolled Steel w/ Chrome Plating not stainless steel 8:47 - While you can check the filaments one half at a time, it's easier to check the AC voltage across the 2 pins vs. pin to ground. You should also check the HV secondary AC voltage as well as the rectifier 5V secondary voltage.

I should probably look into building pedals first and work on my soldering skills.
@shoetiquemusic
@shoetiquemusic Жыл бұрын
That's a good place to start! Aion FX and BYOC (Build Your Own Clone) have kits available which include all the parts you need. That would let you focus on the build and your soldering skills instead of trying to find a bunch of parts. I would try one of those as a first project. Also, make sure you get a good soldering iron! It can make a big difference!

5E3 is only good for a band setting. Mine is real loud. I just built a Princeton and loving that one more because of the volume control. Both are Mojotone kits. Best sounding amps for sure!! I am thinking of this 5F1 one for home use.

Have you giged out with it much?
@shoetiquemusic
@shoetiquemusic Жыл бұрын
A. R. - I haven't gigged with this one. I think it would work well if you were playing at a coffee shop, open mic or another small event. If you bring it into a bar or club its not going to keep up with the rest of the band. You might be able to get away with it if it's mic'd up and piped through your monitors but at that point your fate will be in your sound engineer's hands.
