So many of those have become my go toos also and its all because I watched each products individual video. I have been using the ouidad products since 2014 after watching the review you did on it. I absolutely love the cleansing oil so much that I know by the big jumbo salon bottle! the aphagee leave in is my go too for the summer time. I'm a medic in the army so 9/10 times my hair is in a bun or french braids. I actually use the lotta body line as my moisturizer abd leave in of choice. I was turned onto them from the wash n go video you did and I have been in love ever since. your chanel is the best, ive been following you since my big chop in 2013 and your advice has completely turned my hair around.

Hey Mo' thank you for your videos such an awesome help! I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico and as you can imagine it is hard to find a stylist who 1. knows what they're doing with ethnic hair and 2. Someone who isn't ready to just slap a relaxer on my hair. I was wondering what your thoughts are on the ORS line in general I really like one of their products I started using but, I am somewhat apprehensive just because I don't know all the way what I am doing with my hair either. My hair doens't feel dry and there isn't any build up after which are all promising signs but, nonetheless since Mo Know's hair I figured I could seek your feedback. Lastly can you do a tutorial on protective styles for someone with multiple layers ... I feel like our hair maybe a similar length but some of the up do styles I have tried to mirror aren't all the way successful especially at the back of my head due to the layers for example, when I pull my hair in a pony tail my strands aren't even and if I start twisting it seems like I run out of hair. I may be wrong but any feedback is appreciated. Thank You again!

Glad to know you have different products for different things. Now I also have a way to explain my stash to my husband lol!!! I noticed you didn't put up the Ion shampoo and what not for coloring hair. Do you still use that?

+Mo Knows Hair I have yet to master a "wash n go" on my hair. I have long, low porosity 4a-ish hair that is naturally layered. I don't skip trims, either. I also do not know over manipulate my hair because I'm on the go. I like putting my hair up because I work outside in the elements (real estate girl). The only way I can get the "wash n go look" is if I twist my hair for hours, keep the twists in for a few days, take them out (separate and fluff), pineapple! Seriously, I've tried multiple ways, seen so many tutorials...my hair will NOT cooperate on the wash n go style. Maybe it's my products, which works great on my hair??

Question/Statement: I would love to obtain a nice soft roller set like yours. I was told by a natural hair salon in ATL that my hair type is 3. The stylist did not go by ABC subtypes just number. So I will say between BC. When my hair was permed foams and setting lotion worked for my roller wraps beautifully but now they don't. I've tried several times. I've tried with creams (better) but still not getting the look I want. What should I do???? How can I obtain a roller wrap? Can perm rods give you a roller wrap also?
@AmouAAjang9 жыл бұрын
HI MO! Thanks for the video. I'm wondering if you would PLEASE do a video on natural hair salons in NYC... I'm always looking to get my hair braided, but since my hair is fine and 4C, I can't afford to go into harlem and get just anybody to do it. The tight braiding of the west african salons up there normally pulls my hair out from the root, and damages my edges. Do you know any places that braid hair, and make sure to handle it as gently as it needs to be handled?
@ltgwright9 жыл бұрын
I was waiting for you to say that buying/using all those products is optional, not necessary. Then identify the basic products that are essential. Selecting products is pretty overwhelming given how much is out there and what I need is to know what is essential. I've been told that there is no way to avoid randomly trying products via trial and error.
@MoKnowsHair9 жыл бұрын
This wasn't intended for you to buy anything....or a suggestion that you use what I use. I'm showing what I use because I get questions all the time about it. But yes, trial and error is how you'll know what you like for your hair. I went through it years ago and no one is exempt...except my friends whom I was able to directly tell what they need since I do their hair lol.

I have a question. I am a new natural. I love finding new products to use on my hair. But what she has sitting on the counter would take me three years to accumulate. I am trying to find my perfect routine. I have high porosity hair, my hair does not detangle very often, I use a refresher spray on my hair to give it some love in the morning. I am trying to find a good shampoo for high porosity high, a love co wash and a deep conditioner that will help give my curls a little bit more definition. I know taking care of your hair alot helps retain length, but what do you recommend I use to grow my hair a bit more, how to know if a product wont do more damage than good and it is better to use a natural product or something from a more professional line? (I am a broke college student so yeah)
@doublejoy069 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for this info. I'm learning a lot from you. Please explain the difference between a clarifying shampoo and a sulfate free shampoo? I'm confused on when to use them and what they are supposed to do. I've been trying to co wash weekly because they say not to shampoo often but my hair is always dull with build up (low porosity) I'm trying to put together a regimen or hair schedule but I'm overwhelmed with so many products and their purpose. Thanks!!
@MoKnowsHair9 жыл бұрын
Clarifying shampoos remove all buildup. Sulfate free is sulfate free.... You need to actually wash your hair with a hydrating shampoo or clarifying if needed. Co-washing won't remove buildup.
