The Kitsune is regional. And I liked the Mokole book. Granted the backstory is a bit hard to read, but I liked it. Not to mentioned I made a Coatl Mokole, Guila Monster by birth and his human form is Navajo (he's from New Mexico). There is a Merit that lets you go into the Umbra, it's a bit expensive, but a very good investment with the freebie points.

Dang, you really EARNED this thumbs-up from me! My group (table top) generally mixed White Wolf into our D&D setting. Our rules are so mix-matched, but mainly based in the D&D dice system. This system, the way you described it, reminds me of trying to learn the system to play a magic user for D&D's old Al-Qadim, which is for the Forgotten Realms middle-eastern Oriental regions; it's basically Muslim principles with djinn and stuff like that, mostly cultural and a little inadvertently racist. Thanks for an unexpectedly funny (and honest) review. Gonna check out the rest of your channel.

Alligators and crocodiles never migrated to North and South America. They just stayed on that piece of land while the continents moved apart. They've always been there

the Mokolé had been awake long before the war of Rage, Kinfolk bread freely and they often took care of the young from other bete. that's how you got characters like Evan heals the past. there are many that did sleep the sleep of the Dragon, some have woken and others are still waiting to wake. the Mokolé are my all time favorite

"And then Machbluch went to Muktuk and put his achblach into the void of aggblag" Whoa, sounds like some weredinosaur sex goin' on. What a strange, though thoroughly unique creature. I had no idea WoD had weredinosaurs! Although "Dragon Kings" from prehistoric times sounds much cooler. It's a cool idea that these would have ruled the world if it weren't for the comet. Is there a strong theme of Regret for the Dragon Kings?
@MidnitePixy12 жыл бұрын
Weredinosaurs sounded too good to pass up, and then you start talking about Weredragons! I'm sold. If they wanted to use all that new terminology in the text, then they needed to include definitions in line with the text, not just toss them in the back in a dictionary sort of thing. The most evil textbook I ever had still defines stuff for you instead of making you look things up.

If I had a PDF file of the Moloke book I'd just edit it to swap out all the invented terms for standard words to make it easier to read before actually reading it so I could actually enjoy it. :)

Yeah and the white-wolf books have the trend of wrighting everything as if a character is explaining it all to another character who knows as little as the reader. I like that trend. When it's done well. Here it's so bad that I'd rather stick my dick in a blender than read it again. In the wereshark book it was done brilliantly, but here... Dear lord. Oh well, I'm reading the wereraven book next. Wish me luck.

Wereraven's eh? I can't wait to hear about them! I am going to have to get my hands on some Werewolf the Apocalypse, books asap.
@MidnitePixy12 жыл бұрын
Yeah. I've noticed some of the worse books I've looked at and read, have no one listed as an editor, or the same person writing and editing the book. You always need other eyes on stuff like that, to catch things you miss and suggest things you might never think of.
@Anamizuki12 жыл бұрын
You know what is the friggin' cherry on top of that book? The story section is about a GAROU with mnesis. About the Hengeyokai, I don't mind them as much, because while they use different words they still are basically just the changing breeds west has. Just replace Nuwisha with Kitsune. They aren't wholly different beings like in vampire, they just developed a different culture.

@hammeredshitsteak12 жыл бұрын
That is so true, especially with this book it's apparent. Tough it has a different editor and aughtor. Oh well maby they were a couple and the editor didn't want to piss their beloved by critisizing their wrighting. I don't know I'm just blabbering :P

Well the 20th anniversary edition of werewolf is coming out this year the same way vampire did last year :)

Hmm no I don't think so. They are kinda billed as some of the wisest and patient types of all the changers. But I would imagine that they would be. It just was not emphasized in the book.

Nice review. The book had some cool pictures but that's about the only cool thing about it. I don't like dinosaurs in modern WOD, it is just wrong... dont know why the hell I bought this originally but its in the right hands now.
@sockmonkey666611 жыл бұрын
Looks like since it's one of the more obscure books they either handed the writing off to the new guy, or they just indulged in some goofy creativity because it's not one of the mainstream ones.
@felipe1gojira12 жыл бұрын
very awesome review. I was sold the second you mentioned weredinosaurs, simply awesome. I never liked it when a RPG book/ supplement is fuzzy on the important details and the editing is piss poor, it makes it that harder to get into the book and enjoy the what it has to offer.

Yeah, I would not have minded it too much if the book was bad in other ways, but just making it super hard to read at all is such a stupid mistake. All these books feel like they are done by different people at the same time and have been almost ruched.

Yeah and I like the mokolé alot, I just don't like the book at all. Great idea but a poor production. That's why in the future I'll just find the rule based stuff in there for my use and that's all. The kitsune are my least favorite of all the changers.
@AllSeeingChihuahua11 жыл бұрын
Jim Comer wrote the book. He has been the primary writer on all content associated with the Mokolé since the beginning of WW:ta. I don't agree it's a terrible book. Almost every WW book includes a lexicon of new words, and you need less of them if you've been following it through the various editions. Meh.

..... Ok so Dont watch this it will lower your intelligence ive never seen such ... there isnt words . dude drank himself to brain dead .
@hammeredshitsteak12 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's such a waste. If you ask me I'd say just use the changing breeds book and just create everything that is not said in the book your self. I'd much rather do that instead of getting this book.
@hammeredshitsteak12 жыл бұрын
Yeah well, I just ain't too interested in them. It seems like you'd need to play a hengeyokai game all together instead of the western changers you know. But then again if that floats somebody's boad, more power to them. It just ain't my bag. Yeah I didn't like the story section at all.
