My Irish grandparents met each other in Surrey during WW2. He was from Tipperary and she was from Kerry, they married in 1940. They had a little house in Eastcote Avenue. He was in the Homeguard and worked in Vickers on the Wellington bomber production line. They had 2 girls there, one was my mother. Came back home to Tipperary in 1952.
