Sweet Molly! Yeah sweet setup, great share! Oh the Remo Emperor are two ply ambassadors are one ply, not sound like a steam bag! Remo’s been my Brand since I was 10! Good experiment though, Evans, Aquarian..which have on my DW kit right now. My 68 Sonars have Coated Emperors and clear ambassadors on bottom, I’ve always told students well if can afford it try different things but yes correct country “Nashville Producers/Engineers like a particular “recipe”. Love Nashville spent lots time there but I soo love the sound of the natural ring of the snare! IE grew up playing Heavy Rock went groove,funk,and Jazz in Boston and Chicago but I always say “I down in me Indiana Country!” Be well Drummer! 🥁 😊🤙

What kind of heads on top and bottom? I just heard pinstripes on top. I’m interested in snare top/bottom heads and type of muffling used. I’m using Attack Toneridge2 on everything. Medium (5mil) snare bottom and Thinskin 2 ply heads on bottom of toms. I don’t need tape or gels. Pretty awesome!! Try Attack drumheads
