Hi, I've been literally binge watching your videos for about five hours now. I love your channel. I'm a 65 year old lady metalhead, and been into metal now since the age of around 12 or so. I love watching your reactions to alot of what I grew up listening to like Judas Priest,. Black Sabbath, Queensryche, and Iron Maiden just to name a few, but I can't wait until you go down the rabbit hole of Dio. In my opinion Ronnie James Dio is/was the best metal vocalist and frontman that ever walked this planet. I really loved when he joined Black Sabbath. I'll be sending you some awesome request of his soon. Can't wait to see this Metallica song reaction. It's one of my favorites. Peace! 🤘🏼

I jam to Dio sooo much and still do. Please please please do Heaven and Hell by Black Sabbath. Dio is a Metal God and hearing him with Black Sabbath is incredible. He was the Fontman to Rainbow before his time with Sabbath and then went Solo in the 80's.

I am 57 years old and I have to say, it is great to see someone from your generation actually willing to discover real metal. Metal heads of the 70's 80's and early 90's are some of the happiest and most chill people there are; especially us Gen X'ers. You need to truly dive into this era of metal. Sometimes the lyrics will seem to give a very negative message, but really listen and hear what they are actually saying. Some lyrics can be easily misconstrued because they will delve deep into the dark side of many issues; some will be cryptic. Get a hold of the lyrics of the songs whenever possible; read between the lines and imagine what emotions are there to find the true message. You have no idea what you are missing.

It does, but nowhere near as extreme as the version he reacted to. There was definitely something wrong with the vocal track on that version (TBH the entire track sounded a little bit off so I'm guessing it was either a remix or remastered version that he reacted to).

MAN, I've been waiting on this song on your channel for SOOOO long! One is my favorite song on AJFA, but this is a VERY very close second. And please, DO NOT FORGET Garage Days Revisited!!! Some very wicked shit on that album. It's like them just jamming out to songs they grew up loving in the garage, but it's totally worth a listen. If nothing else, at least check out Garage Days Re-Revisited which was the one originally released in the states with way less songs on it. But the other has some badassery that you'll LOVE! This album definitely has some of Lars most technical drumming, along with the guitar and bass. It's interesting to think what further albums would've sounded like if they'd kept up the progression with the difficulty of their parts. The time changes and signatures are of note on this album but they are cut back in a big way going forward. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, just different and (mostly) more accessible. Thanks for the reaction. Congratulations on the new car, looks dope. :)

I had to pull over in my truck to add another comment. I'm 45 years old, I've got a 3rd grade pic of me with my Bigfoot monster truck on, with my Master of Puppets pin attached to my shirt. And ever since I started watching your reactions, especially the MetallicA reactions. You have been the spitting image of my reactions when I first listened to this band. This album was my first introduction to this band. And you gotta understand that it was cassettes when I was 10 - 12 years old. I know that you mentioned that you were in your 20's, so you're still a Metallivirgin 😂. It's all good! Your Metallicherri poppeth mightily! Or Your Metallihymen rippeth 😂! Also, the first 5 albums are great, with the Black Album being their most massive success. Matter of fact it's one if not the highest grossing album of any genre since the Nielson soundscan era began in 1991. With over 16 million or more sold. Load and Reload are really good albums, but have their disappointing parts, and both debuted at #1 on the billboard 200 in 1994 and 1997 respectively. Garage Days Revisited was right before ...AJFA, which was an introduction of Jason Newsted on bass. Which is the issue everyone has with ...AJFA. And all because they were hazing the poor guy. But it also goes to prove that MetallicA could have made the Album with no bass at all, soooo. Garage Inc. Is the Garage Days Revisited, and a set of several other cover songs. With "The Prince", "Breadfan", "Blitzkrieg ", and "Am I Evil?" Added along with some other side covers. It's worth a reaction also. S&M¹ & ² are also worth listening. The song "I dissappear " a song made for the Mission Impossible²" movie, which also started the whole Napster dilemma. As Lars Ulrich was RIGHT for what he did. And today is proof he was. St Anger is one that you'll probably dislike the most. I dislike alot of it, but there are songs that really are hardcore jams. But I am a die hard fan. Death Magnetic, Hardwired to Self Destruct, and the newest album 72 Seasons are really good albums. Production on Death Magnetic is off, but they are back to where they play their best on the last 3 albums. 72 Seasons has some freaking great songs. And I remember you saying something about the snare on Sad But True was something you liked. You'll hate it on St Anger. It's bout damn near impossible to listen to. That's one you can blame Lars for. But I also think that they made that album as a 🖕to the haters and the record labels saying "We can make an extremely hard to listen to album and still debut at #1." And it did 😂! Sorry it's a long comment, but don't pat attention to those morons that say anything after Justice isn't good. I can give em St Anger, but the rest ain't bad. All they did was bring in more ears to enjoy their ability to play any style of music and play with anyone. Like Lou Reed on the HIS album LuLu. Don't let anyone tell you that's a MetallicA album cause it's not. It's a collaboration with the Late Velvet Underground great Lou Reed. Idc what anyone says. MetallicA is imo, the greatest band that ever hooked up to make music. They created a genre (Thrash) with Kill Em All. They made RtL, MoP and redefined the genre, and MoP is the greatest metal album of all-time. That's not even an argument. Well, some will say Black Sabbath, but MoP is the best. MetallicA has influenced nearly every genre on earth. Listen to their anniversary album for the Black album, the Blacklist. 53 songs by 53 artist. And one of the artists is Jason Isbell, a dude from my hometown. He does a version of Sad but True. But there are rap artists, country, Indie, pop, you name it. I could talk MetallicA all day my dude! Peace!!!!

Nice reaction video. I kinda wish you'd consider going back to the early days and listen to Kill'em All from start to finish. Keeping in mind how young the guys were when they made it. Your channel, your choice, but understanding what they were when they started might give you some perspective on the criticism of the immensely popular Black album. I personally love the Black album, but a lot of old time fans felt like it was a sellout more than an evolution.

Unrelated to the video but to your comment about the face wash. When you use face wash, it dries out your skin so your pores think they need to produce more oil to protect the skin. That is the pores' job and that is why you break out. You need to use a light oil free moisturizer after you wash and it will curb or cease the break outs. Also great reaction, as usual.

Yea man I love watching your first impressions of The band that once you have taken the bite you are forever engulfed and I hate to say what I love is that you now have been latched on, there is no going back, there is no other band that does what these guys do, for me it's now 34 yrs of listening to what others would say a kick ass drug that costs 0, and hooked for life bro. See you again in 30 odd yrs, You will be calling not me but Metallica and they would have to go down as 1 of if not the best damn heavy metal bands to grace this fraid world 🌎💯😎.. Now you need some hair bro🔥

The opening is taken from the wizard of Oz . This record rips from beginning to the end . 1st full length album with Jason Newsted 🤘🤘

I agree though, I feel it's largely overlooked , as being one of , if not , James best rhythm riffs . It's insane. I never tire of listening to it.

This is the most underrated song on the album IMO. There are enough riffs in this one song to make an album on it's own.

The drumming on this album is legitimate insane. Nobody would describe Metallica as Prog Metal, but god damn does this album come close with how much they play around with time signatures and shit. Blackened and The Shortest Straw have 2 of my favorite examples of this.

I do so miss the age of the 7 minute Metallica tracks. So glad I got to grow up through the 80's and 90's.

It's in the eyes! I know EXACTLY that feeling he is emoting. Especially that album, since it followed "Master".

This is what music should be about. Trying to understand the thing that you don't know much about, and respecting it. My brothers - they don't respect music, and Metal saved me from depression, and way worse things that come with it. Music saved my life, Metal saved my life, and they disrespected the very thing that I loved the most. So, I cut all ties with them. I had to, for my own sanity. I don't like Hip Hop that much, but I still have respect for it, heck, Mike Shindoa's rapping in Linkin Park songs is SO GOOD TOO! And since you are a Hip Hop fan, you would LOVE Linkin Park. Today's generation doesn't respect for what music is, and instead chase their high with garbage like Taylor Swift. They have gone soft. Music is art, and music means my life for me. And you proved that there is some shred of people left that respect music instead of shitting on the artist. Love seeing that Metal is in its renaissance phase now, with Gojira opening The Olympics, and much more. Much respect for you, brother. You made me hella happy, you made me have faith in people other than Metalheads again.

This song has so many great fucking guitar riffs in it, an epic solo by kirk, great drumming, and the oh e oh from the wizard of Oz. What more does one want. It's fucking 36 years old and it's better than any metal song out today.

So Mollyboy, it's Kill em All next, followed by Ride the Lightning, jump over MOP and AJFA, then onto the deep cuts of the Black album. Looking forward to this one!!

Interesting fact is that Metallica has not played this song live for 26 years!! The first ever they played it live was 2014 in Helsinki! I never really understood James' negative feelings about this song, because for me personally Frayed ends of sanity was the absolute favourite song from AJFA album from the very first time I listened to it.

And Justice for All is my personal favorite Metallica album. The guitar tone just grabs my ears and won't let go. Lars' drumming is probably at its peak here.
