No . It’s doable but I’d rather just farm the eggs from the side dens and lose the fight. You don’t lose anything. Fight takes too long anyway . Hope they patch this like they did with oroshi so you can get it in certain areas in the main game

@@zekromfusion6319 you dont need to lose the fight, just exit with the menu option and you will keep all the eggs and loot you got. i did this in the new elder dragon den to conserve some stuff and i had all the elder dragon eggs i picked up before exiting i personally just solo farm most things but i heard some people finding good randoms if you really need the boss materials. just beware some just rush to the boss nest ignoring all the loot (i saw a complaint thread somewhere on this so be careful)

I may be crazy but Molten is one of my favorite fights at the moment. I like how they keep changing up fights with the system and how it's still challenging. Also makes me happy to be using Gunlance

Molten. Beat him on the first go but he’s certainly not easy. Having a gunlance and protecting when he goes Tech enrage helped a bunch.

having reverto with you also helps for suppression damage, since now we can take the better NPCs in with us. im glad i had a friend tell me that this is now possible because if the former ones got triple attacked by him theres no way theyd survive since they wont sacrifice a mount against this like i did and their defense is pretty bad for something on higher levels like molten tigrex luckily i already had a lv 99 strong soulseer for this and some water weapons so damage wasnt really an issue. having reverto attack whenever i needed to heal or defend was also a big help. switched to my nergigante a couple times but she helped a lot against molten tigrex for me i have evasion riff on my velkhana horn too luckily so i didnt have to go back and get a horn with this

As soon as the update came out I grinded molten tigrex out for so long. I do personally believe tho that he’s a bit broken in terms of power lol. Also having water as the weakness is basically having no weakness 😂

yes, the water monsters are a bit limited in this game, but id just build a decent soulseer mizutsune for him. equipped right she can easily do above 1K damage per weakness strike (especially with groom at 2 stars)

@@AveryCreates if you need heals id just buy mega potions tbh, lifepowders are easily converted to dust of life by using a gathering charm with the herb gathers (pink not blue. blue gives felvine items so ignore the blue spots) at the garden so i dont have issues farming these either. as long as you arent using a vanilla CPU (i did this before the patch let us use the base game ones so i had to use a much more cautious strategy, but it did make things easier so i wasnt spending half the battle babysitting a cpu with low or mid tier armor that seems to be lv 1 or 2) she shouldnt be that bad. you can avoid double kill from blue moon by sacrificing a mount, and reverto cant get double killed so its ok if this knocks him out, same with kyle

Molten is all over the place. Power monstie with max neutral attack but his 2 signature moves are fire based while one of em is speed type. On top of that like someone else here said, can come with a D.Boost. my lord, lol

Molten. Oh wow, is the first time I see a double Decimating Fist from a pair of coordinated Nergigantes. Reminded me of the special trick shot from the brothers of Captain Tsubasa anime.

maybe use reverto or kyle? he shouldnt triple kill them often. the vanilla co op NPCs are bad if those are the ones you had

Molten looks cool, 3 attacks in a row jeez. I'm thinking maybe a poison Molten Tigrex build. Either way it's probably a cool upgrade if one want to move up from the normal Tigrex. Thanks for all the helpful hints, saves me some SR tickets probably xD

Molten. Yeah, got him by "accident" in the new Dragon Eggs Den after a Rainbow Nergigante egg, and surprise! Looks like he is the bastard son of a Brute Tigrex (or even the Grimclaw Tigrex) and Teostra, since packs a punch of explosive power. Now to farm that monster and farm the best genes for it.

Got beaten by my first attempt in fighting *Molten* Tigrex but luckily one of the other nests I raided gave me a *Molten* Tigrex egg so I got the 4th Tigrex type. Just wished they didnt butcher his element and made him a Non-elem Monstie.

@@AveryCreates Oh the horrors of Heavy Spear. Its marketed as an attack (on Monsties) that has piss for accuracy, but crits like a monster if it ever connects... ... and on Molten? It. Always. Connects. Its like Capcom wants to punish us for complaining too much about other recent MH games, so they make Molten as unreasonable as they can.

It is possible to get 3 Molten tgrex eggs per run. You can bring Main story companions now. (I brought Avinia best healer of the game and kaina will also work but is not as effective, i am lvl 93 so Avinia can withstand attacks even though she is weak to fire) Can’t fully upgrade tigrex armor and weapons since they need dreadking materials. That is all i have on this update.

Finally beat him today, he was really brutal but soulseer and kulve helped alot, also using status moves and Tenacity/Divine blessing helped alot to shut him down.

He has a chance to evade a attack and he is a speed type with water type stab and kill will join me too sense he has a bow and arrows witch is a water type

Haven't fought him yet, however I'm happy I can bring story companions instead of the multiplayer AI. I got burnt out on farming Mizu and failing because they WON'T STOP ATTACKING WHEN THEY WILL GET ONE SHOT!

@@itsthebrowneyez4745 Yeah - Tigrexs are notorious for being the biggest asshole in battles due to how hard they tend to hit and going 2-3 times when enraged, especially while learning their attack patterns. They are nothing to laugh at.

I beat him at level 60 with Reverto as a partner, but definitely got lucky. Several very close calls. It's very much possible, but you probably want to be a lot higher levelled to have an easier time.

i got 2 molten Tigrex from my first run on a Silver Expedition Ticket and one is defensive to Dragon and the other Defensive to Non elemental is this a new thing?

@??? pg3d I don't think that percent is accurate. Some players get zero m. Tigrex egg in their quests.

Thx for the Great tips. I’m lvl 81. It wasn’t an easy walk in the park as molten can use 3 attacks in a row, feels like cheating lol. But with paradise’’s soulseer build, tips and a bunch of ancient potions it can be done 👌 Another thing, for some reason I had reverto as my teammate instead of a random ai? (I usually play offline with random ai, they always suck 💩)

Capcom implemented a feature where instead of a random AI, you bring along whatever Battle Buddy you had at the time. Very handy
