Geese really aren't terribly aggressive. I chase them off my property all the time - when faced with aggression they keep their distance and call for the goslings; they know better than to stand and fight.

He warned you. Twice. And even then he didn't do anything. You're the one in the wrong for getting so close to the goslings. Of course they're gonna get defensive when something 4x their size gets too close to them. If you want to get close to them, let them come to you. I've been around goslings before, but that's only because the parents trusted me. Completely wild geese on the other hand will protect themselves, their mates, and their young.
