If we ever talked to our mom like this growing up, all electronics, radios included, would be taken away for a month. We'd also have the closest things mom has thrown at our heads then have military style chores since dad was in the Navy. We didn't get our own personal electronics until we graduated highschool and was either working or going to college, so I can understand in a way since being outside playing in the dirt does build ones immune system (we rarely ever got sick except for allergies and sinuses).
