My x hubby had a kid i never saw, he never talked about and i only realized existed when the state tried to put a lien on my house for back child support. It is possible to mot know- if you marry a liar. That husband did not last long before he got the boot. (And the house was mine so the lien was lifted immediately when I pitched a fit over them “assuming” that a house he lived in must be in his name and not mine. A basic check of county property records confirmed he was not on the deed. Whew! I had dodged a bullet on that one lol.)

In this circumstance her witness only serves to make her look even more unstable. This is the best she could find to defend her parenting abilities and he's known her for about 4 years, but equates that to his whole life, his own child has been relinquished, he's jobless and he barely saw these two parent their children. Would have been better off not having a witness at all. Not that it matters, who own record proves being a parent isn't a priority.

@@moosecat but the argument was that her rights needed to be terminated because she didn’t have support system and because she was poor. The conclusions supposedly professionals make are usually wrong. The first witness said he didn’t directly witness miss handling they assuming it. And never have I ever watched a hearing where attorneys say foster care is abusing or neglecting the child even if it is happening. Frankly to defend the state is the looser side of the argument if the child wasn’t removed during a arrest of the parent. From witness abuse. Other wise it is all speculative

The only emotion that Non-mother showed throughout the entire trial was anger at the case worker. No tears when he rights were terminated. No flinching when speaking about BOTH children's injuries. Nothing. I know that some meds do repress emotions on a certain level but not like this. She should be flagged and never allowed to keep another child and sadly I am fairly certain that she will have more. I'm so angry on the behalf of those babies. A broken clavicle is extremely painful and babies don't have the best control over their movements. Oh just thinking about what they suffered has me in tears and feeling physically ill. Thank you for the time and effort you put into these videos, I am sure they can be very draining and emotional for you.

Just a thought…If marijuana is harmful to the development of a fetus, what is it doing to you (or me) ? It causes paranoia, which is a dangerous side effect. @@dgatsfYou're taking it a little too far. I've researched the use of thc and mass shooters and there's no proof that all, or even most of them were heavy users. Many of them were on SSRI's that increased symptoms in juveniles on the medication.

@@starclouds9130 Not true. Like I said, some women are prescribed it by their doctor while pregnant. I'd rather chance carrying my baby to term and using thc, than losing my baby due to hyper-emsis. I have a friend that lost 2 babies from it because she was so malnourished and dehydrated, she lost them. Her 3rd and 4th pregnancies she was prescribed thc, carried the 1st past due date had the 2nd 1 week before her due date. They were born healthy and fine. They're both in college. The oldest is about to graduate with her BSN-Nursing and her youngest is going to be an engineer. So, no some mothers don't "chance" it because they don't care about their baby. I’d bet my own clavicle - and wish I could to take away the pain and fear those babies suffered - that the newborns cry, they’re lying down in a bouncer, bed, or other device, and she’s yanked the baby up by one arm, the baby’s weight swung the body around and snapped the collarbone just like that. And I can only imagine how that newborn cry turned to the piercing, breathless cry from intense pain, primal fear, and shock of being suspended defying gravity and THEN was prob tossed back onto the bed or seat or whatever and told to stfu! I imagine it all despite how sick it makes me bc those babies deserve the recognition for their suffering and it’s sickening they’ll know these things one day. I’ve read of cases where babies with undiagnosed OP were removed and it’s devastating. But it’s so damn clear that is not a factor here. It takes a lot for me to think a child should no longer have their birthright to a relationship with there mom/dad. As an adoptee myself (not at all bc of abuse, but for a very poor, teen mama lacking support or ability to care for the baby she truly wished she could have) … and I adore my family (adoptive though I don’t use those qualifying words) and also feel strongly about the biological bond with the 1st mom. No question too many kids go into custody that shouldn’t but also no doubt that too many kids fall right between the cracks and it’s sickening! But my gosh, in cases like these there is zero case for mom here. None. Whatever her issues are or where they stem from, the last decent thing she could do is admit that her kids are in danger if they are with her, even if she loves them and doesn’t know how to do better (doubt it) and bc she loves them she wants to save them from herself. Her babies deserve everything that she is not AND she should pay for her crimes criminally. Goodbye!

Mom had a piss poor choice of character witness. That is like a murderer calling another inmate in as a witness that is serving time for having committed murder as a witness to their inability to commit murder. You are pregnant. You should not be consuming anything that could affect the health of that fetus period. That one isn't hard to figure out. Give up the weed until you are no longer under the observation of the state. What is more important? Keeping your kids or getting high? I choose the kids but then I am not on the stand over mine.

Nope.. but I do wish at least they could offer a birth control class and offer resources to get in it if a person makes to the choice to have it. Often people are told the pill/condoms. However a person high on drugs and with unstable housing won’t take a pill daily at the same time. Something more long term like an IUD or Norplant might be a better choice. Again, it would be voluntary but it *might* help.

I’m not speaking on this case, there are clearly issues with this woman, but I do want people to know that there are cases where baby’s bones break due to a brittle bone disorder, which often isn’t diagnosed until after many incidences of broken bones and testing, and certain bones, like ribs, won’t show, so the parents obviously thinking there’s no way a bone could be broken, don’t think a bone is broken and don’t get it checked due to the unlikeliest of a baby’s bone breaking brim sneezing for example. The issue comes in when cops removes the children in these instances without first testing the child for these possible disorders- there are cases where this has happened, one notable one where the mother continuously petitioned for testing, stating family history of this issue, and CPS refused time and time again, and eventually after 1.5 years of removal and hiring a good attorney, it was discovered that the baby had received broken bones at two other foster homes that went unreported by CPS, and only then did the judge order testing, which showed he did have a genetic disorder known to cause brittle bones, and CPS STILL said that the baby shouldn’t be returned, and the judge luckily overruled it. They are now being sued. However most parents don’t have the money to fight it like she did. There are bad parents, and there are bad CPS workers, and CPS can be a pretty bad system. The whole thing is sad.

I don't understand why she didn't just give up her kids for adoption in the first place. If you don't want to raise your kids, ok. That alone doesn't make you a bad person. But give them up so that they can be raised by someone who will take care of them! It makes no sense.

Research is showing that emotional development is arrested at the age the person starts smoking pot. This is a perfect example. She likely started at 10-12. She probably came from a single parent home, may have been abused herself. The result is this broken young woman, entitled, angry at the world, refusing to take responsibility for her actions. She should never have kids.
@JeremiahLOsborne
@JeremiahLOsborne Жыл бұрын
Post a link to that research. There's going to be a huge issue with correlation and causation. The emotional stunting is not caused by the marijuana. The marijuana may be an attempt to alleviate pain from previous trauma. It's silly to say that maturity stops simply because someone starts smoking pot. That sounds like one of those "you'll get hair on your hands" kind of myths. There's nothing magical about cannabis that stops the maturation process. Chances are, that person's involuntary maturation was over before they started smoking pot.

There's a tonne of research on thc and the adolescent brain. The teenage brain is not yet fully mature, with neurodevelopment continuing until at least the early or mid-20s. During adolescence the brain is particularly sensitive to drug exposure, and marijuana use impacts how connections are formed within the brain. Other effects on the developing brain include interference with neurotransmitters and abnormal brain shape and structure volume. This information is very easy to find in peer reviewed studies from everywhere
