David B I've described them as a sad kid version of Jank if they got a singer who sounds like he was in a ska band at one point. I just think his voice is too different from either Brendan's or Brian's voice and that's what makes them good. they do got that twangy riffy Jank sound tho (RIP🙏)

I saw these guys a few months ago, They didn't go on until like 1230am. Nearly everyone that was there for the opening local bands took off by then and there was probably only 15-20 people in the venue. To me, it was the ideal situation, but for the band, I felt terrible. My city really let these guys down and I felt ashamed. Please keep up the amazing work MJs. You guys seriously make me want to become a musician just like you guys. Keep on touring please, and more and more people WILL start to come because you guys are simply amazing.
@HW-ct1iq7 жыл бұрын
In case there's a chance they look at these comments, I'll add: Yeah, you guys rock and are pushing me to push myself to get a band together. There's something so like accessible and raw about your sound. Really unique. You've made me want to do something similar - my own take, ofc. And you need to keep going to get big enough so that you can come tour in Wales so I can see you perform!
@foxielady7777 жыл бұрын
Anthem Part3 I saw them in Albuquerque a couple weeks ago and man, it was a small bedroom size venue packed to beyond safety protocol and everyone was screaming their lyrics every song and going crazy. So fucking surreal dude, mom jeans is fucking amazing, we were all in another dimension that night.

they sold out where I saw them in Manchester the other day. Eric talked about how crazy it is to play in front of so many people when, like you said, they used to play in front of like 50 people. he also said that if someone wants to pursue art, they should do it, so I hope you've been making that music you wanted to do 5 years ago

I think it's 'bout time That I warned you I might cry in front of you And I don't want you to feel Like I'm afraid of the truth I didn't want you to feel Like it was all your fault But that doesn't mean That I wanted you to feel nothing at all What do you want me to say When I can't tell you the truth? Please, tell me how the fuck I'm supposed to deal with losing you So what's the point of talking If you're not changing your mind? It just reminds me of the lying And it's wasting my time So was it worth it to me To wait around and then see If all my love was well spent My night-time hikes and weekends You are my best friend And I don't want this to end What do you want me to say When I can't tell you the truth? Please tell me how the fuck I'm supposed to deal with losing you What do you want me to say When I can't tell you the truth? Those screams sent real chills down my spine, I love you Mom Jeans
I’m 30 and was so stoked about seeing Mom Jeans live. I’ve been into the pop punk emo scene since I was 16, and my group and I GET DOWN at these small shows. Anyway, i convinced like 4 or 5 random friends to test the waters and come to a small show with me. Mom jeans came on last after 3 disappointing/ish bands. My buddies were completely uninterested by that point and the venue was super lame. No booze, no smoke, no ecig. So me and my 30 year old buddies were standing around with maybe 30 teenagers waiting on Mom Jeans and uh it just didn’t slap. In a better setting I’m sure it would have been great but the environment killed the vibe. The work friends I tried to get into the scene still make fun of me for inviting them to a whack ass show. In reality my work friends are lame and just didn’t appreciate the quality of Mom Jeans, but I get why they thought it wasn’t ideal. Still, this song is sick and I represent Mom Jeans to everyone. Keep going fam, love the music

The most craziest thing for me about this song is that it’s so relatable. I had a best friend, whom I spent countless hours, days, and months texting, eating with, driving around, sharing secrets, and loving with every inch of my heart. I was very happy and then I fell in love. I told her how I felt and after that we stopped talking. I lost that friend and I heard this song on Spotify months ago. Still to this day those lyrics are exactly how I felt, what I meant, and the words i would say to her.
@Bubblyjuffting Жыл бұрын
Send her this comment. Tell her how you feel. Don't let the hurt build up inside you. At least if you reach out and nothing happens, you'll know that it's over and you can move on. I'm sorry it happened, but at least you were happy for a while.
