Such a pity. Takes another life changing event to return to childhood home after 10years when mother is no longer there. Mother must have done without a lot, day to day living comforts, most of all very lonely for missing a child who did not have time for her when she was alive. If he didn't lose his job, the childhood memories with the house would have crumbled to nothing...

My wife and our daughter are visiting her deceased mother and father's home in Hong Kong and it is not dissimilar to this house. They live in a mountainous area near Lion Rock tunnel, in an area protected by the government, and her father built the house by hand. Their house has million dollar views, a running stream, organic farm, and is far away from the hectic and noisy life of most Hong Kong people. That kind of life is so hard to find and makes the place priceless. I would love to live in a place like in this video.
