as a bi who has come out only to two lgbtq+ friends, this kind of video gives me insight and reassurance that maybe coming out to cishet people around us isn't that bad (even though idk if I ever be ready). thank you for this interesting video. they're so wise and sweet, I like them.

cishet people? Get over yourself. You're headed for mental issues later in life (perhaps sooner than later?) if you let this nonsense rule your life. NO ONE cares about you except your family and yourself. Until you recognize that FACT, you will not be happy in life. Simply adding "hip," "cool" or pseudo-scientific words to your vocabulary is not going to change anything. In fact, it is like a neon sign advertising your basic shallowness of understanding.

I really like that man in every interview he's so postive and bright and well spoken, tall, dark, handsome he has every quality I want in my man but what can I do every man I like is either he don't like me Or he's gay, this phrase is true I guess every nice, handsome man is gay.

I'm an ...American, Christian, Republican, conservative....all of the most hated things in America but if I were to find out my child were gay when they were in their twenties I would consider myself the worst failure. Because I am and always will be a mom first...and if my child has to hide who they really are out of fear of disapproval I would hate myself, not them. Parents are supposed to give unconditional love and I'm pretty sure God would be mortified by a parent that rejects their own child....a gift he gave them...a human life to be treasured. Please give your parents the benefit of the doubt. They might surprise you. And if you know beyond a doubt that it will end badly my heart goes out to you. You deserve their love not their judgement.

I'm not a lesbian but I've always looked like a boy from a young age. So I also experienced what you are going through. one day someone told me to all my friends that I was a lesbian. though I'm not. And the news spread everywhere. so all my close friends stay away from me. maybe I look like a man but I'm not a lesbian. So I understand your feelings because I've also experienced the same thing.

I have known I was Gay on some level since I was two. However, I usually put off that matter for later, until I actually was outed in college, as I now suspect their goal was to cause drama with me... But I had gotten so used to seeing my orientation as irrelevant to my interactions with most people, I simply shrugged the matter off, as I was suffering from the Effects of Pneumonia at the time, and the fact that people knew I was Gay paled in comparison to the lack of sleep, chronic congestion, and later the inexplicable sudden bouts of face to porcelain throne meetings after many meals, just doing my homework and attending class was the extent of my ability to exert any thoughts towards. After Winter Vacation, I slowly realized what had been causing those meetings after meals, and the process of avoiding anything too sweet took up more of my attention than was good for me, and my sudden desire to be more social didn't give me much time to give it thought either, and if it hadn't been for my first semester grades, I would have suffered the ignominious fate of Academic Probation in the second semester of college... And from There declining mental health pretty much precluded and ended any fears about my orientation and what it meant for me. My grandmother accepted me, and so did my mom, so what did it matter if anyone else said anything? In 4th grade, I did have a little spare time, and all I could imagine was creating a false marriage with a compatible Lesbian 🤣 never even gave it a thought to attempt anything like being "Straight"... My personality also ended up being so unusual, that no one even gave it a thought that I was gay during Middle school and High school. 😅 It probably didn't help clarify anything when I aced the Sex Education Final, as I had everything memorized, and simply made myself seem really intelligent and knowledgeable, instead of being viewed as an outcast, because I otherwise showed no interest in the relationships with girls my age... And that definitely wasn't because there was no interest on their part. 😂 Some how graduated with a "Pure & Innocent" status... Despite the fact that I was far from either. 🙄😅 Probably helped that my discomfort about female matters was read as something more positive. 😂 The Blushing that I used to exhibit was apparently very popular with the girls around me, and it wasn't until the second year of college that I finally got payback for all of it with an interesting tidbit about male anatomy that made my two friends at the time blush horrendously... They stopped teasing me after that. 😅 I also learned to no blush at those things, so by the time I hit my 4th year at a different college, I was reasonably comfortable with my orientation, and able to hear things with my usual aplomb... Haven't blushed in about a decade now, since dating was never really an option at any of the colleges that I attended. 🙄 Not even sure I could blush at this point. 😐

It’s great that we have come to a point where this generation is more accepting and supportive of the LGBTQ+ community. Just want to let the queer community know that you have millions of allies around the world , some more vocal than others. Even if you are in a part of the world where you don’t see much support, just remember there are millions and millions of us who accept you for who you are. Hopefully you’ll be surrounded by loved ones who will support you for being you.

It's so that so many people still feel like they have to hide their romantic/sexual orientation from their families... While I understand that it can feel "new" and "scary" to parents, I will never understand how you could not accept your child for its orientation!

Please don't come out if you don't have a safe place to go to , a lot of parents throw there kids in the streets when they come out as gay or trans , or in some places even kill them so please don't do it unless it's safe.

I don't plan on telling my parents until I'm financially stable and living on my own. I'm both bisexual and transgender ftm but my parents are homophobic and transphobic. I have a cousin whose also trans and all day I have to hear them talking about him like "it's so sad she doesn't look like a girl anymore," and more things along those lines and whenever there is an lgbt character in a show or movie they make fun of the character so I know not to come out yet.

@@shoshimonster5451 same here i don't plan on ever telling my parents, they're very homophobic and i honestly don't know if they'll just throw me in the streets or kill me , literally for like the honor of the family or whatever, but i will not be safe , so I'll wait until I'm financially stable and living on my own so I can be my self and be openly lesbian without them knowing....
