Yeah I totally agree. People are always trying to fit other people into these boxes that they've made so that they don't have to feel uncomfortable with other people just trying to live in peace. Like, if they feel discomfited by the fact that both the people in the relationship are guys, they'll try and make it so that one of them is "basically a girl" by assuming one of them is more submissive, docile, etc. Not only is it highly misogynist, it's also just so unnecessary and gives major fake-ally vibes. It's exhausting.

I love the idea of “I’ll just turn it around about their mom.” I’m a bisexual woman but rarely talk about with female friends anymore 😢because a few get weirded out and think I want to date them…. I like the idea of, “Hey, you like men, that doesn’t mean you want to date your father!” Also the whole thing about straight people immediately thinking about the sex act itself rather than the idea that you love the person themselves. Why is it weird to love a person for their souls and not just their genitalia?

It's very nice to know that gay people in South Korea have this kind of platform where they can discuss and talk about LGBTQIA- related topics. Honestly all I know is that homosexuality is considered a taboo in SK and is not openly talked about. I actually feel relieved that it doesn't seem as worse as I expected as someone who comes from a country where most LGBTQIA people can freely express themselves.

The one difference between Korea and the West is Gay bars/clubs here in the west straight people love going to them because they're such fun and filled with amazing personalities and the Gays welcome friendly straights too - party time people !!!
@annvasquez26762 жыл бұрын
Yes the gay clubs/ bars here in the west are very fun and lots of straight people go to them, I myself back in the day would go all the time with my girlfriends I even brought a male friend one time and he had a great time, an ex boyfriend of mine was a male stripper in gay bars and I would travel with him all over New England while he performed and I always had a blast.

Great video! I am a straight woman but I spent decades of my formative years partying in gay clubs in the US with my straight and gay friends because they were so wonderful and so much fun. To hear that in SK women are not necessarily welcomed in gay clubs is a tragedy to me. The best clubs were the gay clubs. Good vibes, great music, great dancing, good looking guys and a place where men were not constantly hitting on you when you just wanted to party, was the best! A lost chance for people to interact and to get to know and appreciate each other.

I was raised by lesbians and have known queer folk all my life. So, asking questions and making comments like that are far from my experience. However, even had that not been my experience I would never be so disrespectful to anyone. If I had legitimate questions I would ask someone who I felt close to and who was open to being asked. I don't think any of it's a mystery: some of those questions are made to belittle and disrespect. I hope there will be a time, very soon, when everyone is valued and respected for who they are, and that sexuality, gender, etc were things to be celebrated, never used to discriminate, segregate or and/or marginalize. We all are human. Liberty and justice for all!
