There is no reason she should ever be released. The judge did not explain the reasons why she should be released in "late middle age" because there are no legitimate reasons. It's disgraceful that a plea deal with anything less than life imprisonment was accepted.

This prosecutor did a great job with her closing statement. Too many lawyers try to use their NONEXISTENT acting skills to present a weird, annoying dramatic reading of the closing statement. When they do that, it is ridiculous and annoying. This prosecutor just stated the facts in an extremely effective way.
