Barista was wrong. So was the woman! No one is saying the barista was right. No one is denying what she did wasn't horrible. No one is claiming there should be pure forgiveness with no repercussions. However, in this age of cancel culture, you catch someone who has committed a crime, you film them, and you post it online ... BOOM. Their life/career/ life opportunities is over. Isn't it the golden rule of punishment that it should be proportional to the crime? She stole 250 dollars? Okay. Go to the police. File a complaint. She deserves to be fired and have a record (a permanent one!) to be held responsible and ensure this won't ever happen again. But does she really deserve to be humiliated on social media in front of the entire world? No. Had the woman just gone to the police, the girl would have paid back, would have been reprimanded, and she would have had a PERMANANT record. C'mon!

One of her friends or boyfriend taught her how to get over like that. An indignant kid would've kept denying it or blew up on that woman & walked off the job. As for this girl, a lot of youngsters don't know how to react to situations they're unfamiliar with so they just freeze up. This girl humbly listened & copped out to quick to be a wild child just yet.

I thought that as well, but who knows what she actually bought. Could’ve been non- food items. The lady she stole from doesn’t look like she’s well off either.

The crazy part, she could have applied for food stamps and at her wage she may have qualified for them.
@cookiecazanas17045 жыл бұрын
@@thecatlady3501 you can only apply for food stamps if you have a child under the age of 18 and you have low income

In America you can constantly hear the robotic “ I’m sorry “ because it’s part of our popular culture. The phrase has become meaningless

Agreed, if you do something which will make you say ‘im sorry’, dont do it in the first place

It’s extremely frustrating and not a victimless crime. I’ve been hacked a number of times and you feel pretty helpless. You loose your money for a period of time, they never get caught and it happens again and again. More recently we were hacked and it was a nightmare, as it went beyond just hacking the card. It’s a shame that’s the times we live in.

I’ve been done the same route. People who wrong others like this young woman almost always get off scot-free while the innocents have to suffer.
