A mom who made headlines when she accused a Starbucks employee of ripping off her debit card is speaking out about her now-viral video. The footage of Juana Martinez confronting the young woman at the Starbucks drive-thru has been viewed nearly two million times on KZbin. She drove back to the Starbucks near Los Angeles with her husband recording the confrontation on his cellphone. The worker made no attempt to deny the accusations. I highly doubt she committed credit card fraud because she was in a difficult position. However, it's always possible someone made poor decisions because they were faced with not a choice of good and bad but a choice of I'm going to lose everything unless I choose to hurt someone else. I would of been the type to forgive her if she paid back twice what she stole depending on her situation. I'd at least hear her out. You can't claim to know the struggles of another. You may look at someone and think "That person has it easy" but you've never walked a mile in their shoes. Anyone can be forced into a difficult situation with only bad choices. And most will indeed succumb to despair. This girl now only has despair. If she would of been forgiven instead of being put on the internet, she could of still had a happy life and helped more people then you ever have. Or she could of never learned her lesson and kept stealing from others. I worked at Starbucks when I was 18 and we had a barista that did this same thing. She took a customer's gift card and put the balance on her own card, then told the customer their gift card was empty. The customer knew what happened, that was $100 on the card, so she came back later and told the manager. The barista was caught and fired. She had stolen a ton of other things before that, we all knew she did it.
