It's so important to learn original photography to get even more inspiration with retouching, photo creation and filming. Amazing video, thank you :)

Maybe it's just because we are in the midst of a pandemic and are super conscious of hygiene habits, but I find it interesting that while wearing gloves to protect the photographs, the conservator touches her hair, which can transfer oil to the gloves to the photograph, and even uses her teeth to remove the gloves that presumably she would use again on another photograph. Otherwise, content is very interesting and informative.

How can you avoid losing old dig photos due to their age, and having a computer which can't open the images because the software on the modern computer, doesn't open these old images? How can we make things compatible? Do you recommend deleting these photos we can't open??? Thank you

I love your video. I have 64, 4" ring binders with photos; however where i store them, is creating problems....dust accumulation and image disappearance. what do you recommend I do to preserve my photos??

Have a small collection of glass plates, parents bought them at a yardsale. No idea what to do with them, I did print some. They vary in size, 4x5-ish and 5x7.

Do u accept photos of deceased person's? I have a huge collection, but am planning to house my photos, somewhere they are LOVED and not SHREDDED, once my lymphoma takes it's course.

I don't think the National Archive can do housings on each of the old historical photos. What is their process for conservation??? They do have conservators but they only cover the history of the National Archives w a very brief story on document conservations...photos were barely discussed. Video: paper conservation at the Natl Archives; a brief overview. Tx

Why don't they allow taking photos without flash, in museums, such as The Louvre, El Prado, Chicago Art Museum????

Digital photography is like a ghost that vanished through a wall. Every time you transfer your dig photos from one place to another, you end up losing pixels. My ??? Is, how many transfers would it take for your photo image to disappear?

I have about 3k photos on FB but they keep putting me in jail just about 4 anything I say...do you have a recommendation of a website where i can upload my photos and store them there for easy access?? It would be awesome if i could make money off of them, since I do have a lot of historical photos. Thank you.

There's a photographer who used to attend WW2 Reenactment in Rockford IL, and the photographer talks about photography during those times and the development process; Daguerotype positives, etc. t's so interesting. Then he gives you a chance to look thru the camera from those times. Unfortunately there are so many political problems that for sure the Civil War Reenactment was cancelled bec of the Confederates, Grant, and the Confederate flag. It's sad for us who love history and photography!!!
