You guys are such a joy to watch. Kenyan watching from London, UK. Also the tour guide was superb, very knowledgeable and eloquent in English. No wonder he is a ‘Luo-pean’.

Mombasa is actually a Indian city and the Swahili language that we speak turns out to be the mixture of Arabic and Hindi or Urdhu language since I came to middle east I have realized that we as Kenyans share a lot with indians thank you for taking us to Mombasa city ...😂😂hahaha shish is my favourite can you please take her to grab something on my bill😂😂😂

Nice video. But for the title, Kenya oldest CITY would be more appropriate. The oldest TOWN in Kenya is Lamu (you can visit). With a history dating back over 7th century. While Africa oldest city is Luxor in Egypt. Luxor, formerly known as Thebes, has a history dating back over 4,000 years, being ranked among oldest cities in the world.

One thing I dislike with the tour guiders is how they loudly scream whitewashed narratives. It's crucial for tour guides to offer a comprehensive and accurate portrayal of Mombasa's history, which indeed predates the Omani Arabs. Exploring the rich history of Mombasa, including the era of Mwanamkisi, adds depth and authenticity to the narrative.

@@paulchika4121 Yes, something often overlooked. However, Far East trading also intersected with the existing African market.
