"those cool black bars" isnt my idea of what the aspect ratio is about. Not a single word said about using the full sensor instead of cropping. Not a word said about getting the wide aspect that future displays are made for.

@@wardensisland1478 Yea I agree the black bars have nothing to do with it. But at least they said 2.39:1 and not 2.35 or 2.40, or even worse... 21:9... euugh! Also what kind of monitors are you talking about that have a 2.39:1 screen?

@@closeben these aspect ratios are generally referred to as ultrawide cinema, and while there are several, 2.39:1 is where they are often rounded up to, whether the exact pixel dimensions match the 21:9 ratio (1024:429) or not. Practically speaking any ultrawide cinema display, despite slight variation of aspect ratio or pixel count, is the deal here, as compared to 16:9. 21:9 is the rounded-down aspect ratio for multiple formats in anamorphic and ultrawide, including but not limited to 21.3:9, DCI (1024:429), 21.5:9 AND 21.6:9. Ultrawide cinema can handle all of them.

I got the lens, i also picked up the fisheye and the wide angle, I’m in love with this company and their products... HOWEVER! What’s up with not being able to shoot 60fps or above with the anamorphic lens on the moment camera app? I mean you can, but it does not de-squeeze the image 🤨... I want to shoot cinematic 120fps slow mo for bRoll with this lens.. are there plans to fix the app? Do I have to de squeeze in post?
