Very interesting!!! So much contrast and sharpness in those primes along with subject separation allows for the 20% to not be as muddy looking!? Very fascinating!!! Just picked up a 50 1.2 might have to give this a go! Those images looks so pleasing 👌

These filters are awesome! If you don’t like how flat they make the image you should try the black promist. It keep the contrast a little better but the same diffusion

I haven’t used the 20% much for my portraits but I’m eager to give it a go again. Typically stick with the 10% myself.

Never tried Tiffen but I can say I now have cinebloom filters for all my lenses 😆

Alex, did you ever end up trying the 5%? I am thinking of getting one for my Fuji XF 56mm F1.4 R WR, which is about 85mm equivalent on full frame. Not sure if I should get a 10% or something very subtle such as the 5%. Cheers and great review and images.

Ben toying with the idea of getting one for my Fuji 23mm F 1.4 and was debuting whether to get 10% or the 20%. But after watching your video I am thinking 10% I would work best for me.

Just tried the 20% with the RF 50 1.2, RF 85 1.2 and RF 24-70 f2.8 and damn.... INCREDIBLE

It’s a diffusion filter not an ND, they do make ND’s with diffusion though.

I bought the 10% and 20% together and used them when I first got them for street photography (NYC) and loved it but not necessarily for portraits.

I use a 10% Moment . I really like the look . It stays in my 24-120 mm F4 .

I just picked up 10% for my 50 and 35. It’s hard to find a 77mm and 82mm in a 10%

10% on my rf 24-70 it never comes off 😅
