Moment of Calm with a Critically Endangered Red Wolf

Red wolf P.B. represents the Wolf Conservation Center’s active participation in the active effort to save the world’s most endangered wolf from extinction.
The Wolf Conservation Center (WCC), is a 501c3 non-profit organization in South Salem, NY. The WCC is one of a network of facilities participating in the Red Wolf Saving Animals from Extinction (SAFE) program - a national initiative whose primary purpose is to support the reestablishment of red wolves in the wild through captive breeding, public education, and research.

P.B. usually stands for Peanut Butter but I don't know whether that's the intended meaning in this case. WCC's web site says that his name may be changing. From the site: PB (M2274) PB arrived at the Wolf Conservation Center from the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium (WA) in December 2023. He was born at PDZA on May 3, 2018 and has two sisters. Stay tuned - the handsome wolf may be receiving a new name!
