This sketch is 100% true... during college before any big test I’d drink a mikes hard lemonade and sip a second while taking the test online.... I made near perfect scores, where as I second guessed myself so much normally that I’d end up at around an 82 with out it. One time I just drank the second to quickly and finished it before the test.... I failed that single test hahaha

Also a little drunk, but that's besides the point. Or is it? Anyway, it does work. it seems to work better for those of us with really bad second-guessing. I am studying for a test right now, actually! Well, supposed to be. I'll probably still ace it, tbh. All because I enjoy existing a little more. If it works, it works! Binge-drinking is inherently stupid, but a drink or two so you're barely at the threshold? It seems to work just fine for me!

You know this is actually true, but it is a very fine line, every person has slightly different tolerance so it is very hard to pinpoint the sweet spot. Drink too much and your effectivness declines, too little and there is no effect, but drink just enough and you are your perfect self without any downsides.

I remember I had an assignment due on ethics and I had procrastinated to the last minute. I sat down on the Sunday afternoon to do it and two friends kept calling me to come to theirs for bbq and bourbon. Eventually I relented and went. But I took my assignment and completed it whilst sitting in their backyard 'on the piss' and having a great time and got happily drunk. I not only completed the assignment, I also got a 'high distinction' for it. Life makes little sense...

I once wrote a speech for university the night before while drinking wine from a cask. During the speech I flipped the page and a poorly written "improvise" in massive lettering covered the last page. I got 98% for that assignment. I'd seen what got my tutors interest and just doubled down on it all when improvising and he loved it.
