My defining moment was when my dad and I were almost in a terrible automobile accident. I was scared to death, but my Dad had a peace I didn't have because he was a believer in Jesus. It took about six months for me to come to Christ myself, but it seemed like every sermon at church was speaking to me personally. I would watch Christian tv and started reading the Bible. When I came close to death I realized that I didn't know where I would go Heaven or Hell. Then the Gospel of Jesus I kept hearing made sense and I received Christ as my Savior.

Michael don’t worry about repeating your redemption story. Every time I hear it I find a new truth about God. Your life story is extraordinary which is maybe part of the fascination for people. We are drawn to people who exhibit strength, courage and hope in the face of hopelessness. We deeply appreciate you Michael.

I am a 19 year old man going on 20, and at the age of 17 my father had to go into the hospital for a triple bypass surgery. The doctors said he had 3 widow makers and he could've dropped dead at any point in time. And I will never forget the switch being flipped in my brain to make sure my mother and sister were ok. During that time I refused to cry until I saw my dad walking in my home again with the 7 inch scar down his chest. I embraced my father, my idol, and told him "I did it dad I made sure they were ok". Most defining moment in my life so far and it forever changed me, I am more mature now, i am a lot smarter now and will forever be the man I am now because of this situation.

I have had many life changing experiences including stabbed twice, shot once, a horrible house fire when I was 8, and was in a coma for two months. I had to learn how to walk and talk again. Drug addiction that lasted over a decade, jails and prison. Birth of my son when I was 17, birth of my daughter 8 years ago, buying a house outright with my wife last year a little after my 32nd birthday. There has been ups and downs, highs and lows, but it can't rain all the time and sometimes when your up it feels like you will never go down and when your down you can swear you will never go back up. Soldier on tho because it's all life and a journey.

Defining Moment. Its May 1973, I've got about $1.50 to my name an a REAL Tenuous grasp of reality (LOT AND LOTS of Drugs. You name it II took it...a Lot). Some friends let me crash in their garage (won't let me in the house...For A Very Good Reason). I wake up one morning look around and say "This is Not Working Out The Way I Thought." Not sure how it was supposed to work out, But I was sure it didn't involve me sleeping on a it floor in a garage. Said "God, I Don't Know He You're Real, But If You Are Take Me, I Give Myself To You, Because You Can't F This Up Any Worse Than I Have. And God Did. Wasn't Real Emotional, But I Knew That Was Then...This Is Now. Things were going to be different. So Far its worked out Pretty Good!

What kind of issues are you having, do you have support from family or something? I was atmy parent's home, and just kept trying again and again in different situations, and went to foriegn language evening classes for some exposure each week, and kept setting myself small challenges. Your mind is much much tougher, and more adaptable, than it feel right now. The world stays the same whether you are calm or anxious, so do things while feeling anxious and you'll still be safe. 🙂

My life changing time Was almost 6 years ago February 2019 when I first started having health issues and got diagnosed with stage 3 CKD and then the end of that year when I made the decision to quit working to look out for my health. They caused broken relationships between me and my family and most of my friends and I was alone. Always believed in Jesus but this time has definitely strengthened my faith and led me to see I ultimately wasn’t alone. Been extremely rough since then not getting disability and having basically no income. I have definitely learned alot these last years and wouldn’t trade it for anything. Still praying for a blessing and change in my income and mental health.

Fast-forward to age 18 my highschool graduation/ birthday ( it was Memorial day weekend)

One thing that I like about Michael Franzese is that his videos are like sitting down with him, and hearing stories. So, counter to his comment at the end that recognizes that some might not want to hear a word about Bible studies, I don't take his sharing as pushing religion at all. I feel that he's sharing defining moments of his life, and those are inspired by his faith, so they can't be separated. It's showing faith in action instead of just in word, as so many people do. More Christians like him, and I think more people would return to Christianity. No matter who you are or what your intent is, I think there's a lot to be learned from him as a person...
