Hypothermia is no joke. I've gotten it doing winter astronomical observing. After an hour in a heated car going home, a warm shower, and getting into bed, my legs and but are still cold.

I've been to the Momentum HQ here in Vancouver. It's just a house. Albeit a very nice house in a very nice neighbourhood.

Thanks bro. I have a lot more to post but I can't. Only about 1% of the audience even watched this one...holy cow. I'm not going to burn em.

For $180-$200 your can get a Seiko automatic diver watch. ISO certified. Good option for a bit more
@Dose10987 жыл бұрын
Nice looking "dive style" watch, but anything above $150.00 without the ISO cert and non auto would be a big ask. Thank for the review Nutn!

Yeah but...That misses the point. He reviews Seiko as well. I think the point of this video is the exact price point he talks about. You can always add money and nitpic to the next level. These look like pretty nice watches for the price.

I agree, but generally I find that the sweet spot in terms of value for money is a little higher than nutn is willing to go. So IMO if you go one or two hundred dollars higher on watches and knives, you get a whole lot more value. But if you go higher than that IMO there are diminishing returns and you're usually basically paying for bling. That's just my opinion tho. As nutn says, mileage may vary.

OK, you're getting me interested in the Momentum brand of watches.

Great to see a watch other than a G-Shock! Especially a nice analog-only diver.

Love the review. Looking to get into scuba after an intro class I took. Could you give a run down on your scuba gear, prep, and mindset while going out? Would love a feature length once you've got enough footage. Cheers from San Diego

You should look at the vostok amphibia scuba dude its cheap around 70$ with shipping and it's some interesting russian engineering.

Looks like an awesome dive! The drilled lugs are more designed for ease in strap changes, not strength. Nice watch!

OK Nut'n, you made me cold from watching you shake while diving.. And it's almost midnight and we currently have the AC on! LOL

Nice watch! Love divers, never heard of the brand thanks for telling us about it. Love the classic look.

Nutn, off topic question but what are your thoughts on using diving/neoprene gloves for winter camping? I am moving somewhere colder and all my gloves get soaked, since you dive and backpack I thought you may have considered this as well.

I really enjoy the way you ground your tool watch reviews in actual hard use, Nuthin'. 👍 Will you ever test a dress watch in a fine dining environment? :) I do have a few watch review requests, should you ever find time and/or opportunity to put these through the wringer: 1) The Casio DW5600E, a $50 stripped to the bone G-shock, one of a very small handful of NASA-certified watches 2) The Citizen AW1410, a 43 mm solar-powered field watch 3) One of the Seiko SRP Turtles

I have a Vortec GMT with the black face and I love it. I was looking at other Momentums like the Torpedo but I had come into some money and I was looking for something more lightweight than the giant ass Timex Chrono I was wearing. At the time I couldn't find it with Sapphire face but when I sent the watch in for the recommended service to extend the warranty they had an option to allow you to upgrade the mineral glass to Sapphire and I am glad that I did. The Vortec really had that second kind of cool for me so spending the money on the upgrade was a no brainier. I do have to say I am a fan of the whole momentum line. I love the options you can get. Anyway I think the Vortec is a nice a light and a simple to travel/work watch. My only grip with it is that there is no light. I spent a few months in the hospital and while the glow in the loom lasted for a decent amount of time it was long gone by 3 or 4 in the morning and I couldn't tell the time. I also put a nice black leather NATO band on it because I have large wrists. I got the band from Chronoworld. I think they are out of Japan but they have fast shipping and decent prices for large NATO bands witch can be hard to find. Especially in my area. Oh and keep up the watch reviews please! I picked up the Casio G1000-1A Aviator (found on a nice sale) after your review and I love it. I did end up 3D printing an adaptor in abs plastic so I could put a Black NATO Band on it though. It did fit my wrist (barely :) ) but it just breathes so much better with a nylon NATO strap. I also picked up a Casio GD100-1B. I thought it was cool and I got it for less than $100 Cdn. I defiantly want to get some more Casios now! I think a G-Shock GWM5610-1 followed by a Protrek PRW-3000-1CR if I can save some money up for it. I don't have any solar or Atomic watches and these two interest me.

Citizen Black Hawk. Been wearing it for about 3 years now. Some wear on the anodizing but that's what I get for being a computer tech and never taking it off. Mine is the echo drive. No batteries. Solar powered

Hey nutn, what are your thoughts on Legal Weed?
@eduardorivera41007 жыл бұрын
Revolutionary family channel bro I watch these with my 18mo son n 5yr old daughter. Not a topic I want showing up n I'm pro weed. Other channels openly discuss that stuff
@Rev87 жыл бұрын
Seriously? I was taught about drinking and drugs when i was very young and it didnt bother me at all. It kept me aware of what was going on around me and i appreciated that. If youre going to teach your 5yr old about guns how are drugs any worse? It's just information, its not good or bad.

At least with the real NATO Watchband you have to break both pins to lose your watch ! Still running my Timex with a black NATO watchband. Like the NATO band from Germany or G.B. because it is thin and flex able ! Thank you for two great videos in one day ! tjl
