Oh, he did reunite with his little sister in the manga Fruit Basket Another. Later Momiji inherits his dad’s business, and his sister is his assistant, so I think she does know he is her big brother. Also, he found his own particular person and had a child together (I remember his daughter’s name being Mina Soma), so I think he’s plenty happy.

Momiji's backstory actually made me tear up the most, and especially this episode. Not sure why since basically everyone's backstory in Fruits Basket is sad as hell, but his just hit me the hardest for some reason and it has nothing to do with my own life because I've been lucky to have had a good childhood (aside from sucking at making friends in like the first year or two of middle school).

There were so many sad moments, absolutely heartbreaking, and then times where I was laughing so hard, smiling like an idiot, genuinely shocked, frozen, scared, and honestly I cannot thank the fruits basket creators enough. I remember watching the old 2001 version and now all these years later they came back to finish it. Absolutely one of the best animes I’ve ever seen - I have always felt like the emotional connection was there in my heart since it was the first anime I ever watched. How can I ever forget this anime? I can't physically can't and I don't wish too, momiji fought well, he pushed akito away when the bond broke between them, he didn't hug or comfort akito like kureno did even out of pity, he spoke the truth to akito, he said "Akito, I can't stay by your side for the rest of my life. And you can't tie me down anymore." When momiji saw from the roof how tohru blushed when kyo passed her, it hurts me so much, and how momiji said to kyo "yours breaking would make tohru happier than mine breaking", I honestly love momiji so much. But at the end he stayed with tohru like they used too and didn't tell his feelings, he wanted her to be happy with kyo, fruits basket will forever remain in my memories, in my heart.

Fruits basket shows us that even the smallest things from our childhood actually affects us a lot more than we thought. simplest words and actions will help someone, and simple things can give you a lot of meanings. Like how a single blue hat actually gave someone happiness, but it also gave reminders to someone. An empty box actually holds a lot of memories, and how a simple promise can turn into a curse. Everything happends for a reason. Simple act of kindness might save someone. And simple words can both affect someone in a good or bad way. This just sounds so sad T^T and I'm so proud of my sweet Momiji...he seems like a child but he's always so mature. He doesn't think bad about many things and people. Although his mom rejected him, he refuses to hold a grudge against her, instead, he continues to live life to the fullest. I would always remember his tears of joy when he heard Momo asked him to be her big brother. It was so wholehearted and touching as it was one of the rare best things that happened to Momiji's life. All this time, he has watched her from afar, still looking out for her. After all he's done, I'm really glad that they had some sort of "happy ending". I was a bit disappointed that they didn't mention Momo and Momiji in season 3, but at least we know that the reunion between Momo and Momiji has been made (in Fruits Basket Another), and Momo is most likely to be a representation of hope for Momiji. This music sounds sad in the beginning, as if mourning all the things that happened, but then it started to become faster, more light-beat. It shows the hope in Momiji's future. Even if his future is still uncertain, there is already a light starting to show. Despite having Tohru taken away from him, he didn't really have any grudge against Kyo, which most people will have, since ya know your love was sort of stolen. Momiji has grown so much, from a young boy who was mature beyond his looks to a grownup teenager who has a different insight of life than his peers. I know most people will say other childhoods are sadder, but I'd always think that Momiji's story is the saddest. Most of the zodiacs have been rejected by their parents, as well as been abused by Akito, but Momiji got rejected by his mom, abused by Akito, and also watched his mother choose to forget him above EVERYTHING. Not to mention looking at the affection he should have received being given to another child. I'm not saying that Momo doesn't deserve the love. I'm just saying that Momiji deserved it too. I know the father is still with Momiji, but it's not the same, because the father had his "new" family to take care of and most likely didn't pay much attention to Momiji. I'll forever be reminded of the boy who is so positive despite his life...
