Laundry legend 💜 As far as towels, clothes and sheets we have the bare minimum. Towels it's like 3 per person. I was washing all towels on one day, my 14 year old has two days a week and my husband and I two days a week and it's usually one load when we wash. But you really have to pair down your closet to what you actually can fit and actually are wearing. Love the laundry room friend. I'm sure it's such a relief to have it nice and organized 😊. I have noticed with kids that if there washing and having to put it up. They tend to not wear 5 outfits per day😂lol.
@MomLikely2 ай бұрын
I think that’s about where we are. I few extra towels because of beach ones. I know the let me try this on and not rehang it story all to well lol 😂
@annaovseichik3912 ай бұрын
I agree. I think that most people who struggle with keeping up doing laundry have way too much clothes. I still think we have more than we need, but I do my best pairing it down…I have 4 ppl family (7 and 2 y.o kids) and I just do a load a day or in two days. Pretty much when the baskets are full, I just wash it 🤷🏼♀️ and Always put it away as soon as possible. That way it never becomes overwhelming.
@MomLikely2 ай бұрын
@annaovseichik391 I have tried. But with age we just have more because clothes fit longer. If we have a time were I get behind or we leave and do stuff and I don’t stay up to do laundry because a load takes almost 3 hours to fully be done I get behind. I’m also the only one who does laundry. With this reset I’m trying to commit to laundry when the baskets are full and emptying the bathroom and kids room laundry more than once per week .
@annaovseichik3912 ай бұрын
@@MomLikely I get it, trust me 😂 we bought a house recently and getting new laundry appliances are not in the budget so far 😩 so my laundry takes this long, especially if I have to dry blankets or towels… and I am the only one in charge of it 😂 And you are right about clothes. As we get older, we have bigger wardrobes, but the thing is we don’t use all clothes daily. So my dressy clothes mostly hang, it’s sweatpants and tshirts that get used these days. But if I only have 5 sets of pjs that forces me to do laundry and not let it go 😂😂😂 pretty much you have to make it a regular habit, and it’s more doable when it’s a manageable task. So, good luck 👍 As far as your dryer, look for videos on KZbin, there’s a lot that show you how to do a deep clean of a dryer and dryer vent (maybe it will help, but as a minimum will prevent fire hazard). I thought I cleaned my dryer when we moved in… lol and then I did research and took off the door and got in there… Omg the amount of lint! And I clean it EVERY time 😳

For your dryer, try drying smaller loads at a time. I know the newer washers and dryers dunny last as ling as they used to. My husband had a set before we met and it finally died about a year ago. We've been together almost 16 years. That thing was almost 20 years old.

For the dryer, take the back off and vacuum the lint that's built up inside. Believe me, there's lint in there. There are heating elements that are fairly cheap Amazon if vacuuming it out doesn't solve your heating issue. I use windex to wipe out my washer and dryer. Then run a cycle in the washer on hot with some baking soda. Good luck.

Laundry legends baby!!! I have a whole bunch of laundry that I need to rewash I have stuff that like I want to hang to dry but then I don't properly deal with it or things that I need to Air Fluff. I'm really weird about certain blankets like this fleece blankets I don't want to stick in the dryer because then they feel rough to me I have a lot of sensory issues. Anything that that type of fabric or if it's a newer material that's soft I don't want to ruin it in my dryer but then stuff will end up getting dirty because it isnt put away properly or soon enough. I never get back to things and we have so much a regular laundry so even if I try to tackle the back laundry and ends up getting in the way of the regular laundry and then doesn't get dealt with like I washed a bunch of our winter coats the other day and I was trying to air fluff them and then I was going to hang them up but I only did that with about half of them so I think I have to rewash everything and start over but now I have like five loads of regular laundry I have been doing like yesterday and today and then I have a whole bunch of stuff in my room that needs refunded and actually put away properly because I started folding it but then I have to stop to make dinner and then I don't get back to it and then my husband clears off the bed into a laundry basket and everything gets remixed up and then kids or me go to look for something and then it gets all messed up too. It is a big mess right now. Play some rest of my time is spent on dishes and laundry. But we still always are behind or get behind a day or two later even if it is in a good place. And yes I do laundry like every day I'll do a load or two. And we are dirty messy people so we dont re wear items typically.
