"Home Free Vocal Band" is a country a Capella group that won season 4 of the "Sing Off". Adam Rupp (world class beat boxer) and his brother Chris Rupp (left band in 2016) founded the band in 2001. Tim Foust - Incredible Bass, Rob Lundquist and Austin Brown - Amazing Tenors, Adam "Chance" - Smooth Baritone/Bass. I think “Man of Constant Sorrow” is their consummate Song/Video. Their catalog is huge with many, many outstanding songs. 50% Pop/Classic, 30% Country, 15% Inspiring, 5% Goofy Fun, 200% Entertaining, 100% Humble.

Yay, you did Home Free! This is the tip of the iceberg with them. I do enjoy Pentatonix, but I'm a Home Fry now. I absolutely LOVE Avi's tone, but Tim Foust amazes me on a different level, the flexibility in his voice, tenor, basso profundo, crazy falsetto. I'm an alto/mezzo soprano, and he's gone up into my range and higher on his Doo-Wop album. You need to hear more Home Free to really appreciate what all of the guys can do. Please react to more. Home Fries will flock to you, I promise! We are a very loyal fan base.

Welcome to Home Free, technically the finest vocal band with the richest harmonies on the planet. Although they are identified as the only A Capella Country band, they actually do covers of most genres. They are so masterful at what they do, they are known for actually upgrading the iconic originals they cover. The bass singer for HF is Tim Foust who has a 5 octave range and is a noted songwriter as well. Avi also made a cameo appearance in another HF video at the same time this one was recorded called Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget, a HF original that Tim had written. For a good HF video to begin your HF journey would be Man of Constant Sorrow which was featured in the George Clooney movie, Oh Brother Where Art Thou by the Soggy Bottom Boys. From there, you will have about 200 more videos to choose from, everyone of them great. Expect to get some love from Home Free fans known as Home Fries who will undoubtedly suggest more HF great videos for you to react too. Just subbed.

Avi has a fantastic career as a solo artist now. He felt very limited in his role in Pentatonix. He separated from Pentatonix on good terms. You ought to check his solo songs. . Home Free met Pentatonix on the finale episode of season four on the show The Sing Off. The Sing Off was an acapella competition. Pentatonix were guest performers because they had won The Sing Off on season three. Home Free won The Sing Off on season four. Soon after Home Free won, Avi performed Ring of Fire with them. Ring of Fire was one of Home Free's outstanding performances on the Sing Off competition. It's interesting how happy Avi looks performing with Home Free. Home Free is an outstanding acapella group with an extremely loyal fan base. They have performed with other outstanding artists, such as Kenny Rogers and Don McLean. They can literally sing anything, although they are primarily country. They have over a hundred videos. Also they don't block reactors Some suggestions of Home Free sings:. Man of Constant Sorrow, Blue Ain't Your Color, End of the Road, Brothers in Arms, How Great Thou Art, The Broken Road, Castle on the Hill, Brother, When a Man Loves a Woman, American Pie, Nessum Dorma, My Maria,, Listen to the Music, The Driver, Hopelessly Hoping.. There are many more from serious to humorous. They are planning a European tour in 2023. Their previous European tour which had sold out performances was cut short due to COVID. They still created music even though separated throughout the US due to Covid.. Enjoy.

I am not sure how much you know about Avi, but he has spent years with mental health issues. He is a highly sensitive person and he left PTX because he had a complete breakdown. It was exacerbated by his mother having a relapse of cancer and the group was so busy, Avi could not get home to be with his parents. When he left, he went home, then hiked and camped in the mountains for two months. After that, he headed to Israel to visit his brother and hike the Galilee for several weeks. He had purchased a cabin deep in the forested hills of Tennesse and he went home and because he is not a social animal, he went into hiding for a few years. hiking his property and not getting out at all except to go visit his family in California during holidays. He was writing and releasing healing music for himself and for others who needed healing Then as he worked through this, he began to find strength and healing. Here is a song he wrote which many have misinterpreted to mean he was wanting to commit suicide, but he was merely longing to the day he could be on the healthy side of mental health. The below video is Avi sitting in his cabin on a live stream for his fans. Avi Kaplan Otherside (Kaplan) (lower version) kzbin.info/www/bejne/hIW7h6GNfJx9hLM Enjoy if you have never heard it before.

Home Free is always respectful of the original and guest artists when they do cover songs. To embrace your love of low voices check out Home Free's versions of "Brothers In Arms" and, staying with Johnny Cash, "Folsom Prison Blues". My all time favorite tour de force is "Do You Hear What I Hear" filmed ten minutes from my home in -20F weather. Home Free is insanely talented, true. But they are also generous. Any one of the vocalists can take the lead. They choose the lead based on the music, not on the ego. This was my initial foray into Home Free as well. In December I will see them here in Minnesota for the ninth time and I can't wait. Welcome to the rabbit hole that is Home Free. We look forward to sharing your journey with you! Peace and blessings.

While you are going down the rabbit hole of Home Free, I would also recommend that you round out the trifecta of acapella groups: Pentatonix, Home Free and Voiceplay. Voiceplay also has a basso profundo named Geoff Castellucci (pronounced Jeff). Voiceplay are the "theater kids" of acapella, often dressing in costume and acting while they sing. "Hoist the Colours" is an excellent introduction to Voiceplay which heavily features Geoff's bass.

It's amazing how deep they can both go, but how different their voices sound! If you love bass singers, another one you should hear is Geoff (Jeff) Castellucci, the bass singer for the a cappella group VoicePlay. While any of VP's videos would be a good choice to hear some of Geoff's vocals, he has a solo channel that he started during the pandemic. He almost always "clones" himself so that he can perform his own harmonies, and he has worked with Tim Foust on improving his "growl" and subharmonic notes. Recommend Sixteen Tons, House of the Rising Sun, Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold.

Also going to point you the third piece of the Trifecta of Acapella, Voice Play. VP's bass is Geoff Castellucci. Pentatonix are the cool kids (think pop/contemporary music), HF are the country boys /funny guys (think country /folk/classic rock) while VP are the theatre kids (think Disney, Broadway, costumes etc) thinking of them as three prongs of a style keeps me from having to pick a favorite. They do a medley from Wicked that brings the goosebumps. On the up and coming side, The Bass Gang formed a last year-ish. Four amazing bass artists of the younger set. Enjoy. Liked & subbed.

Also a new one out with Mark Wills called "Don't Laugh at Me" about bullying. I would definitely recommend tissues for all of these. Avi, Tim Foust (Home Free's bass) and Geoff Castelluci (Voiceplay's bass) are three of the most impressive bass singers out there. I sometimes think it would be fascinating to hear them collaborate, but then I wonder if the world could handle that 😁.

For some truly moving metal music, please listen to the band Sabaton. They are a band that creates songs about historical events. He has a five-octave range. Robb Lundquist (glasses and beard) Tenor Harmony. Austin Brown, Lead Tenor. Adam Chance, Baritone ( goes by Chance). Chance replaced Chris Rupp (co-founder) who left in 2016. Take Me Home Country Roads is phenomenal but you might also want to check out Dreamer, When A Man Loves A Woman, End Of The Road, One Man Band, I Swear, Blue Ain't Your Color, Dive Bar Saints and Folsom Prison Blues. I sub to anyone who reacts to Home Free.. They are the very best band around. They have such a wide variety of music, and so many to choose from.. This is one of their oldest ones, one of their first videos..

That final bass note was done by Tim Foust, not Avi Kaplan and he held that note for a long time.

If you like jazzy type of music give Postmodern Jukebox a listen. They take rock and pop songs and put a 40s 50s jazz type spin on it I think you would enjoy it. And of course both Home Free and Pentatonix have tons of Christmas music for you to enjoy, looking forward to it as it is also some of my favorite.

Hello again! I’m part of the Nightwish Army, and also a “Home Frye “( that’s what Homefree family calls themselves 😂). Again, no need to apologize for showing your emotions, and once more I wish you and Floor a long and beautiful life. Greetings from Alabama 😎

Good music is good music, no matter what genre. I'm a Nightwish fan; I'm also a fan of Home Free. Which I listen to just depends on my mood! Avi is a friend of Home Free's bass Tim and also Geoff, the bass from a capella group VoicePlay (who I hope you will try sometime) - they have shared techniques to improve all their singing. Welcome to the Nightwish Army and the Home Fries! For your next Home Free I'd like to recommend Brothers in Arms, but definitely make sure you have tissues to hand. There are loads more I could recommend, that's just one of many I think you will get a lot out of, so I won't be offended if you go for something different.

Will be fun to see your reaction to Geof Castaluci from voiceplay. My favorite is the Oogue Boogie Song from nightmare before Christmas. But I wonder if you might like his solo version of sixteen tons more.

Subbed in because of Nightwish....but....absolutely love Home Free....I think they are one of the best A Capella bands out there. For Nightwish (seeing as you are a jazz singer) Slow love Slow. Floor has done a version of this on her solo stage show in NL, but to me this is an Anette song, so try the live version from the Montreaux Jazz Festival. However this is a HomeFree reaction. So I think their version of either Hillbilly Bone or Hopelessly Helping. Both will blow you away.

Your Grandfather must have had the most amazing voice! Homefree is a fabulous group, well worth exploring further. As a jazz singer, I think you might like to listen to a version of Dinah Washington's 'I'll put a Spell on You' by the English pianist Jools Holland, with Dave Gilmore (Pink Floyd) on guitar and Mica Paris on vocals. It's the most wonderful song. You might like to know that Avi Kaplan has been open about his struggles with anxiety and depression and several songs on his solo 'I'll Get By' EP deal with just that. Plus, you get to listen to his wonderful voice!.

If you really want to hear a good base song. Try Peter Hollins and Tim Foust Misty mountains cover. It has great blending vocals and layering.

I subbed Monday because of your reaction to Nightwish. I put this one in my queue because I love Home Free, too. Tim Foust, the bass, has sometimes collaborated with Peter Hollens, an amazing a cappella singer. One I think you would especially enjoy is Misty Mountains from Lord of the Rings - kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5OVeYVqbNOje7c - make sure you have a tissue because Tim sings some wonderful bass. I'm looking forward to watching a lot more of your reactions.

I love your reactions! Try listening to Homefree's Helplessly Hoping and Man of Constant Sorrow. For metal try Disturbed's Through the Fire. It is a mental health tribute as well. God bless.
