The way she said “i feel dumb for posting what i thought was a cute video” solidified that I am not giving her a sliver of sympathy because in that moment she was more sad about posting something that got her in trouble rather than the fact she wrapped her child in plastic wrap and caused him a visible amount of distress. I am PRAYING that we have some sort of national legislation against family channels and their exploitation

I think she’s missing a key point: loving someone does not mean you are incapable of hurting them. She does likely love her son a ton. It’s not unlikely that no harm was meant. Harm was still done. My family fostered kids for several years and in that time I learned that harm isn’t usually meant to kids, but it still happens and if you aren’t capable of not hurting your kids, you shouldn’t be responsible for them and that doesn’t mean you don’t love them. Love is simply not enough.

That’s what really astonishes me here. She should be THANKFUL that some stranger on the internet cared enough about a random child to ensure the child’s safety. By her own admission, she didn’t see anything wrong with what she did (and still seems to think that the problem was posting it, NOT doing it in the first place). She could have easily have done it again. That time her child could have died or been gravely injured by her own hand. CPS took custody of her son for a few days to prevent her own stupidity from taking her son’s life forever.

Offering an alternate experience and not a dispute to your personal findings! My family also fostered children for several years and from my personal observations in a (majority) of cases, the harm that was inflicted was purposely done with malice intent. No justification, no excuse. I understand that lots of people of folks unfortunately lack and many have suffered some level of abuse themselves, which is absolutely horrible. Even so, most humans possess an innate sense of right & wrong. Harming someone or something is a choice. One example of many would be burning a small child with a cigarette multiple times on multiple occasions… definitely a choice.

If your child is getting into the oven, and putting a fork in a socket, I feel like that’s a sign that you should probably baby proof your house… Maybe put him in a playpen or one of those pack and plays things while you are removing potential dangers from the house. I don’t have any children, but I feel like I could think of a million common sense ways to resolve the issue that do not involve harming your child… The toddler’s legs were also red, which seems like a lack of blood flow to me…

Finally, someone else noticed that! Like that's not the out she thinks it is. It just tells me she's irresponsible enough not to have been watching her child in an unbaby proofed house. My mom didn't have outlet covers, but not only were our silverware put out of mine and my brothers reach, but she'd put us in our high chairs or a play pen if she was cooking or something so she could watch us.

I'm glad you brought up the fact that she made a video immediately after getting him back. As veiwers that never, or rarely, make our own KZbin videos, we often don't realize what goes into making a video. So when we see video of a mom cuddling her toddler who she just got back from CPS, we don't think about the fact that this mom decided to set the camera up and film a public video right after she got her kid back, when any normal person would be too busy with their son to even think about making a public video. It also points out the fact that she was more concerned with everyone seeing her be happy to have him back, then she was about actually being in that moment with her son. Almost like she cares more about public perception than actually being a good mom. It's definitely a red flag that she made a video right after CPS brought her son back, but a lot of us wouldn't realize that if you didn't bring it up.

I used to follow this woman on Insta and only lasted a couple months because of the VERY strange energy I got from her. I’m sad to say I’m not surprised she went this way😬 That poor child, I can’t imagine his terror. I used to be a phlebotomist and we would gently and properly “burrito” a baby in a soft blanket (with the parents there of course) to draw blood and usually the “burrito-ing” was more traumatic than the needle stick, but necessary to keep them temporarily still. It broke my heart every time because the fear of not being able to move was so obviously traumatizing to these babies that they often wouldn’t even notice the needle stick. Her and her husband WILLINGLY forced their child to experience the trauma of being trapped for laughs and views. It’s SICK, THIS IS SICK. THIS IS NOTHING BUT ABUSE.

A little personal spillage, forwarning.... When I was a child, my siblings would team up together to pin me down on the floor and put their hands on my stomach, until I felt overheated, sick, claustrophobic and was bawling my eyes out feeling like I'm ready to throw up. Watching these clips brings up a lot of bad feelings from my childhood, I know how distressing being restrained like that can be. This is cruelty. I have 'okay' relationships with most of my siblings today but I still feel sick and want to cry when I recall these memories. Restraining children for punishment or fun is NEVER okay. It can cause irreparable damage in the way they process things and the relationship you have with the kid- things will never be what they once were. The only acceptable time to restrain a child is for their and other peoples safety, and you still have to be careful with that so as to not be excessive in force or the amount of time you restrain them

When she said I feel so helpless, I gave a side eye because that's probably how her son felt! Like he can't move around or use his limbs. It was just ironic. I also can't believe that this was his punishment for trying to get into the stove and putting a fork in the outlet, like you're the parent take it away, educate him! What are they doing to this child that isn't being filmed?

I could just imagine how distressed the kid would be just getting tucked in at night. It’s a cruel punishment to start with and like most cruel punishments it will effect how they perceive things in the future. The kid would most likely throw a fit anytime he’s feeling restricted from now on

YES! the first video came across my tiktok and I remember being disgusted by the parents not only wrapping him up, but also video taping him in such distress. After she was reported and he was taken, I felt the exact same. How in the hell do you in this situation set up your camera, tripod, and post a tiktok as a grown adult, justifying what happened because “he was laughing”. As a child who sadly had to go through multiple CPS cases who had a mother who would blast everything private online as well as film every sensitive moment for her benefit, I feel so sorry for the child and how he has been effected in the situation.

@Lisa Hance Thank you! Maybe bondage games aren’t appropriate for babies (on or off screen). Believe it or not , you are there to fill his needs not the other way around! It’s not funny to punish your toddler by straight jacketing him. These people are sick . Their son is not a Binky to bring them comfort. You can’t just cry when it’s taken away and have it given back. All my prayers to baby Gunnar He will need it 🙏❤️✝️

"all of this could have been avoided had his parents not done what they did." Honestly, all of this could have been avoided had his parents babyproofed their home 💀 why wasn't the lock on the stove engaged to prevent him from opening it? Why did they not have covers on the plugs? It is not expensive to make sure your home is safe for a child. Nearly all stoves have locks for the doors so they don't open. You can get socket covers at the dollar store. Toddlers will always get into things that are dangerous that's why these things were invented.

-he could’ve died -his little thighs are red because the plastic is so tight -he couldn’t stand up or balance and was falling on his face -instead of saying that she loves the child because he’s amazing and she’s worried about him, etc. she says that he’s the best thing that ever happened to THEM. It’s a small thing, but it shouldn’t be about HER. She should be worried about his trauma, not talking about I I I Me Me Me.

I don’t have children but I’ve been around them plenty because I have many nephews and nieces and one thing I learned that most people know about kids is that they get into things that could potentially harm them because they don’t know any better. One of my sisters has two little boys and she has those things on her cabinets to keep the kids out of them and those other things you can put into the electrical sockets to keep the kids from putting things in them, so basically my sisters house is toddler proof because she has toddlers. That’s my number 1 question why wasn’t her home child proofed?? Also kids move and have energy I don’t think a kid is gonna sit still and let you wrap them THAT much in plastic wrap I feel like they forcibly did that which makes this even more fucked.

I have seen the comment " Every child deserves a loving parent, but not every person deserves a child". I so agree! I have a two-year-old grand daughter and a 3-month-old grandson, the thought of wrapping them up would never occur to me. There is no justification for this, even if THEY think is funny.

Wrapping ANY living being up in non-breathing material can lead to injury or death. There have been school fundraisers where students/teachers get duct taped to the wall and pass out from overheating. DO NOT DO THIS. Wrapping a kid in a blanket is one thing, but plastic wrap or duct tape is NOT A TOY.

3:17 This is torture. My siblings and cousins put me in the bottom of a zipped up sleeping bag once and dragged me around the house in an attempt to create a new and funny game, and it was fun for a few minutes, but then I felt claustrophobic and trapped and started panicking. It was AWFUL and I really felt like I was going to die and couodn’f breathe and they were all just laughing. I’m almost 41 and remember that feeling vividly, so this poor kid will probably never forget this. His parents did this to him, not a few other kids that were 7 and younger, like my situation.

I didn't think much of it at first because we saran wrapped my mom with a salmon once. 😂 But it was a VERY short period of time, we didn't push her around, it wasn't her whole body, and uhh, she's a grown woman. For a child, I can't imagine doing something like that. We have warning labels on bags to keep them away from pets and children for a reason. 😢 Poor kid. He looked so upset

That poor baby is 2. A toddler. If you want to teach him that sockets and ovens aren't safe, teach him that. How does what they did teach him anything? He could have overheat so easily wrapped up like that. He could suffocate when they threw him on the bed face first and he couldn't lift himself up. These people are awful and don't deserve that sweet boy

When I was a kid I actually did this to my neighbor who was a couple years younger than me, together with his sister. It was all innocent to us and fun and games. However he ended up falling over and hit his head on the floor. We felt so bad after, but luckily he was okay, no serious injury. I would not recommend it though 😩

There’s nothing that was taken out of context. This was abuse and people saw it for what it was. She wasn’t crying because she was sorry, she was crying because her audience didn’t think her abuse of a two year old child was funny. Tbh, this child is probably safer in the system than with the two of them as his parents.

I had my torso wrapped in foil like that and then coated with gypsum so I could have a back brace. I felt SO claustrophobic and I am usually not claustrophobic and I had such a hard time breathing. I was so close to panicking but I knew I was surrounded by medical professionals. And also, I was 11. This kid was NOT having fun, you should NOT treat your kids like toys. Lousy parents.
