Watching this video feels like stepping into paradise. Staying on a resort that’s on the water must have been so relaxing. The view of the clear water left me speechless. I can imagine spending hours just looking at that gorgeous view. My favorite part was the floating breakfast. Never seen anything like that before. Yes, I was in love when I opened the door and entered the room. The view was stunning facing right in front of the endless ocean and hearing the sound. I spent a lot of time in the room enjoying the view. The floating breakfast was a very interesting experience, I remember the first one I had was in Bali many years ago, it was fun, but it is more for photos because eating on the land is more comfortable, lol 😉. I went there in mid to late November which should be its non rainy season, however , the weather wasn’t that great during that time 🥲🥲🥲. I still enjoyed it and I was happy there was no rain for the floating breakfast otherwise all the food would be soaked 😁😁😁. Haha, yes, I like that bag too, I carried and used it for my whole rest of the trip to Oman and Switzerland 🇨🇭. You will see it in some other videos too 😉😉😉.

Great vid. Really enjoyed that. I'm glad that the resort made up for that restaurant reservation issue on your first day. I really liked the overwater villas, but I would definitely prefer the beach villas. More private and peaceful, IMO...and direct access to that beautiful beach. I am an introvert, as well...and, like you, I would definitely visit a resort like this on my own if I had the money to do so, and I would enjoy every single minute of it. Thanks very much for sharing your awesome trip to the Maldives with all of us. I'm glad that you enjoyed yourself. :)

Yea, it was a bit upset when I found the restaurant was not open even there was confirmed reservation and I was glad they made up for it after some talk 😊. The beach villa is also beautiful and definitely more private, but the ocean sound from overwater villa is very healing 😉. I really enjoyed this stay . You are trapped on a private island and have to pay $75 for breakfast? Most places (even in the Maldives) include breakfast. I have watched so many videos of the Maldives and I don't get the attraction. At the core is always the food and I am happy that you enjoyed your meals. I’m so glad you enjoyed this video. Yea, I feel Maldives is a lot more expensive than a lot of the other beach destinations 🏖️. There is a charge to get to each resort . There is package for half board and full board , but because I booked with points, so nothing is included 🥲. Except the prices , the food there tasted pretty good . It was a fun trip for me 🏖️🏖️🏖️. My family and I also stayed at Ritz Carlton resort in Honolulu located at Waikīkī beach. (Have you been there before?) The hotel was very nice and offered an ocean and city view. Food was okay but the room is very spacious and I stood for hours absorbing the beautiful view and calm nature. I would really like to visit Maldives. Is it really worth coming here and staying at this kind of resort? Comparing to the Ritz Carlton resort we stayed at, I would say this one is more impressive. Also for New Years, we stayed at an amazing resort in San Diego called Alila Beach Resort. Have you heard of this resort before? We had an amazing stay here and our room directly faced the ocean just like where you stayed. The sunset there was like a piece of art and food was delicious. They have many walking trails and offer some fun activities. Please check it out if you get a chance. Wishing you all the best on your amazing content! 👍👍👍

I have been to Honolulu, but not the Ritz Carlton there, I think it is much more expensive than other hotels nearby 😶. For Maldives, I think it is worth going at least once , I just use it as a stopover for my trip to Asia. But this ritz Carlton does not use seaplane by default, I think seaplane is much more beautiful than speedboat 🚤. I will check out the Alila, I have been to Alila in Big Sur , it was beautiful.

I’m a full time software engineer 👷. My parents are currently here so they can help take care of my Shiba xiao momo 🐶 . I still haven’t figured out where does the poop go, haha. The floating breakfast was offered free because of the lunch incident , I saw the price is about $190. I think everything is pretty expensive there 🥲. Thank you for this - to be honest you made a great video and I appreciate so much that I decided to look for a different property for our pending visit to the Maldives. In this sense you helped me alot. What bothers me about Marriott these days (since the purchase of Starwood) is the nickel and diming. A cash price in November 2025 is $2k ++ for an overwater and in this case breakfast was $75./ person before a titanium discount ? It would be better in my view the resort simply include it and add it to the rack rate. Moreover, given there were three persons in the transfer were you discounted - i.e. if it was (900/pp) would the boat have made the trip with just you ? Also, your visit was a little sloppy in my view (closed restaurant). It is little things like this that make think twice. YES, I understand the Maldives are one of the most expensive resort destinations globally and the operating costs are much higher, but they should stop the 'extras' bs on the basics. What did they charge you for the floating breakfast? Lovely place and I first saw this on Luxury Travel Expert's channel and I had some reservations then. This confirmed it for me. Yea, most of the Ritz Carlton hotels do not offer complementary breakfast for elite members. Depending on the package, I think they have the half board and full board package to include meals, but it will cost a lot more. They also have private transfer, but the price is crazy. They didn’t charge the floating breakfast, it was offered for free after some argument due to the lunch reservation restaurant closing incident. I went there mid to late November which should be non rainy season, but weather wasn’t too good. It is about 120000 points per night . I also have more info in the video description 😉😉😉

Yea, offer 50% is a bit unsatisfactory 🥲. It was a lunch reservation. After some talk, they offered floating breakfast and late check out until 7 pm.

Maldives is definitely more expensive 💰. One main course is about $90. There is also seaplane fee to get to the resort . I went in late November, but the weather was not as good as expected for that time. It rained quite a bit. It is a beautiful place to visit , but I probably will only go if I go to Asia at the same trip.

The wind was not bad, but I expected much better weather for late November, I expected more sunshine ☀️. It depends on your needs, I included the ocean overwater villa, lagoon overwater villa and beach villa. Personally I like ocean villa as there is no blocked view from the islands .

That depends on the package, there is a packages for full boarding which will cost more. I only ordered one main for dinner, it cost about 90 USD. If there is drink and other things like starter or dessert, it will cost a lot more.
