I was stationed with the American Air Force in Germany. I had a chance to take several weekend bus tours to Switzerland through the Base Recreation center to include Zermatt. Switzerland sorely tempted me! ❤❤❤

Yes, I didn't feel full or satisfied after the dinner 🤣. I hope there was hot meal with meat😝. But the place is really beautiful and the experience is unique, so I guess I need to make some sacrifice 😝. I am wondering who will be able to delivery food there 😂😂😂. Years ago, I was stationed at Hahn Air Base Germany. Took a weekend bus trip to Zermatt to ski. Will never forget going up the ski-lift and seeing the Matterhorn in the beautiful sunlight. I am delighted to see that Zermatt is a wundershön as ever. And if I ever had the chance, I would definitely stay at the Iglu Dorf. ❤

It is impossible to not love those mountains with the sun reflecting off of them. My favourite room... lol is in Gstaad with a heat floor and a great Italian restaurant. It was -25C this morning in Toronto so no igloo for me. I appreciate the iced art work but I do need a coffee maker/tea kettle in my room in the morning. Obviously you are a more adventurous person than I will ever be, which is why I love your channel. Europe is the cultural Mecca of the past 2000 years and I love you want to experience it all. I think they have multiple locations, but not sure which one is the best . The stay at Iglu Dorf felt a bit short and a bit of a rush but definitely worth it. Good things can come in small doses after all! The Matterhorn is such a beautiful landmark in Switzerland. The snow-covered peaks and sunrise make it look stunning. I’d like to visit, but probably not in the winter. Not a fan of cold weather and prefer tropical climates. This whole experience seems so unique. I’ve never seen a hotel shaped like an igloo and entirely made of ice and snow. How was your stay overall and was it cold inside? Was it comfortable to sleep in sleeping bag? The ice restaurant sounds like such a cool experience - how was the dinner there? For me, I think the portions are too little and not many dishes. Also, that private jacuzzi must have been amazing, especially in such cold weather! Was it refreshing to warm up after being out in the snow? Speaking of the cold, how did you handle the weather overall? Did you get used to it, or was it tough being out in the freezing temperatures? This was my first time seeing and staying in a hotel made of snow and ice. It felt so magic ❄️. I am usually not a fan of cold weather either, but this is a really unique experience that I feel I have to try it at least once. The view of the valley and Matterhorn at different time of the day is really beautiful and I found Switzerland has stunning landscape. The stay was not as cold as I thought, inside the igloo, the temperature was consistent around 0 degrees. The hiking part was a bit challenging because of the high altitude in the mountain and I found it easy to be out of my breath. I enjoyed the jacuzzi, it felt so warm in this cold place. I cannot say it was the best sleeping experience but it was a unique and unforgettable experience. Happy Chinese New Year to you too! 🎉🎉🎉

Hi dear Momo. Happy Chinese New Year and congratulations for enduring a super cold snowy experience to make this gorgeous unbelievable trip.for us. Really amazing!!!! Moreover I would add that the Alp mountain range where the Matterhorn stands is precisely at the border between Switzerland and Italy. And In Italian the mountain is called CERVINO. The Italian side is more abrupt, the Swiss side has open nice sweet slopes therefore the Swiss made such a Dorf (village) attraction for skiers. Thanks a lot ! I feel so honored 😊. There was no heated inside , but according to the guide the sleeping bag can handle minus 40 degrees Celsius . It wasn’t the best sleep I had though 🥲. Fortunately the snow was thick and soft, so it didn’t hurt at all ❤️.
